Alleva really showed Herman who was boss.

We want know who shite their pants for a couple of years.

Texas owes Strong Ten Million. Many thought they hit a home run with that hire.

Same with Kevin Sumlin. How much different was the hype with Sumlin and Herman.

History will determine the worth of the deal.

What i want to know is why the hell dod alleva think not getting herman meant we should hire a career position coach?

There is a fantastic gap between Herman and Ed orgeron in terms of qualified hcs.
Every single successful coordinator is more qualified than ed orgeron.

LSU is very hands off when it comes to football coaches it seems. A complete 180 from Ut. Hope Herman has fun dealing with all the bullshite politics at UT

So asinine is this . You whiners don't get it it's all about the fit and passion he brings. Herman will prove to be another Sumlin at best

Would Ed orgeron get interviewed at georgia, auburn, florida, tenn?
Hell would he be a candidate if he werent on staff when Miles was fired?

frick passion. Give me a coach that has actually ran a successful offense, defense , or program. Hell Aranda was more qualified than Orgeron.

The die has been cast so I'm willing to give Orgeron a chance, but it's more than fair to criticize the process by which this came to be. To say you shouldn't be an LSU fan if you disagree is just silly.

Maybe he didn't want a repeat of last year with Jimbo. He told Herman either you're our coach or not.

Joe could of calmed himself down and played a little poker with Texas and Herman if Orgeron was his fallback guy. There wasn't another buyer for Coach O in sight.

ESPN said:

LSU decided to go with Orgeron because it "wasn't going to be held hostage [while Herman negotiated with others]. ...

In the end, they chose the guy who wanted the job and not the guy who wanted the money."

What you don't understand is that if Herman was still discussing money with other teams then he would not stay here very long. He would have used LSU as a stepping stone just as Saban did!
