I put him in the same boat with Reggie Bush with the comparisons to Barry Sanders coming out of college.
Just curious, what other players have lived up to the “Barry Sanders” expectations?

He isnt a bust, but he hasnt been a good runningback if you look at stats like yards per carry and yards after contact. But yall dont want to hear that.
Also, obviously the bucs didnt think he was great, considering he was the backup most of the year. He’s fresh and had a couple good games here though.

All I am hoping for is that CEH, D Williams or Fournette (or all) have a crazy highlight reel TD in the game. Time to shine boys!

Completely different running styles than LF7.

He’s a bust ONLY in the sense that you might expect more production from a first round pick.
You’re kinda limited in how successful you can be if you’re in Jacksonville. He looked reenergized in Tampa this year. Glad that he finally got to show how good he can be

LSU fans (on this site) are the only fanbase ive known to hate on their former players once they hit the NFL. It has become the norm on here. It doesn't matter how successful Fournette has been or will be tomorrow night, multiple posters will have something negative to say about him.

Wondering if Tampa can afford him
He might be elsewhere next season unless he takes less money in Tampa

Maybe Kevin Faulk, maybe, but probably wouldn’t kill for it.

When at LSU I thought he’d be the next AP. Turns out he isn’t in the same class as Derrick Henry.

He was a great Tiger some of u Nancy don't know much about football !!!

He had some injury issues that likely disappointed some Jaguar fans, but running backs get hurt sometimes.
He has been far from a bust.

Insert Bama fan comment: “show his highlights against Alabama”

The question is..... Is someone a hater of the dude if they say he has been a total bust in the NFL?
I don't know if they are a hater, but they are wrong.
Probably someone who watches the game just to play fantasy football. If you picked up Fournette in FF in 2018 and 2019 you were probably not very pleased with his production. Also, the person in this scenario plays fantasy football, and probably doesn't know much about the actual game other than stats.

The only reason people would even mention him as a bust has to do one thing: expectations. LF was one of the greatest high school players ever and did some amazing stuff at LSU, especially sophomore year. Based on that, people could reasonably expect him to be a dominant running back, consistently finishing in the top few every year in total yards. That hasn't happened. So not a bust, but nowhere close to the ceiling many thought he had. I love the guy. And my hope is that this Tampa Bay opportunity fires him up and sends him to that truly elite level that he's capable of.

He is not a bust but wasn’t worth a #4 pick overall..

He did get compared to AD. Which wasn’t fair because Peterson is a once in a generation type of RB. Derrick Henry exceeded expectations. It’s just not fair. There’s been a bunch of guys coming out of HS who are compared to greats and never live up to it but still have a great career.
My point, BUGA is a great back and will be in the nfl a long time.

He has never played with a good Qb until Tom Brady in the pros or college. The Jags out here didnt do him any favors
OF course his reputation in jax was he was not a team player. Amazing what a goat QB can do.
