He knows if they beat Auburn their best win of the season is against a 4 loss team. So he’s playing psychology on the media.

Hey Nick, I hope we do play y’all again. Because when we kick that arse again for the 2nd time this season, it’s going to put a dagger in that dynasty from which you won’t recover. Hope you’ve got the party barge gassed up on the lake. You’re going to be spending a lot of time on it!

I don’t see them beating Auburn bad enough

Auburn D will test Mac Jones

If only Auburn had a more veteran QB to worry the substandard Alabama D

Any coach will push for their team.

I’m sick of Bama/Saban threads on the TIGER rant. Jesus some of y’all just can’t get Bama off your minds

exactly. What's a coach supposed to do - not lobby for their team?

Besides, the OP is Bama-obsessed. You'd think beating them would've cured that, but some posters just don't know what to do with all the Bama hatred.

He’s doing what any coach would do and frick playing them again because the risk is greater than the reward. We have already beaten them once so that should be enough.

If they win, he’ll be on the gameday set in ATL pimping his team like he did the 2 other times. If he loses, you won’t hear a peep from him.

It's what coach's have always done when their teams or players have a chance for championships or awards/recognition.

Some have been criticized when they haven't done it enough.

Just like when he and Alabama exaggerated the extent of Tua’s ankle injury by listing him as a “game time” decision for LSU and Miss State. This was an attempt to manipulate the media and committee into thinking Alabama only lost to LSU because Tua was hurt. This one back fired on him big time because when Tua had the other injury, he looked bad for playing an “injured” player.

It’s one thing to “lobby for your team” but saying things like “Auburn is the best team we have played” is just patently false.

I know it's part of his job to lobby for his team. What sickens me is that the media buys into whatever the frick he says. Nobody will stand up for us and say "look, you had your chance and you didn't win. Your team hasn't earned it on the field. Thank you for playing. Enjoy your bowl game."
