Ppl forget kid was a 5 star too before he reclassified and I believe he’s still only 17 years old. He has a sky high ceiling. Gimme the kid that actually wants to be here and bleeds purple and gold not the phony who clearly put on a facade and used us to up his NIL pockets. Wish underwood the best but he’s gone I’ll ride with the guys who are actually want to be here

I’d rather see Collins, honestly. Dual threat is the way to put pressure a defense.

I understand being upset at the Underwood flip but it's weird to see so many people on this board shite on Hurley the way they have.

Both Collins and Hurely’s tape is unimpressive. There is a reason Kelly is going to go hard after a transfer this offseason

Hurley can do everything Collins does

I disagree. He had accuraccy issues at times based on the box scores, but his highlight tape shows that he can make any throw. He's compact (aka short but stout), moves well in and out of the pocket, and has a strong arm.

Collins, I agree. I don't see it.

He sucked his senior year and his stock plummeted. If he ever starts here we're screwed.

Is that why he was the #2 QB in the same class with Underwood before reclassifying?

Well, that was his junior year as he spent his planned senior year at LSU. But I agree. He was certainly a washed up 16 year old when he enrolled at LSU 11 months ago.

he's only gonna go hard after a QB if Nuss goes pro (unlikely) or we lose some of the depth we have due to them transferring.

The kid was barely a 4 star. He was rated the 60-80 best player in Florida, depending which service you look at. I hope he turns out to be a superstar, but he doesn't give many people comfort after losing Underwood. We are not keeping up with UGA, Bama & Texas if this is the best we can do at QB.

Me too...it's really mind boggling and IMHO obtuse and ignorant. Hurley is a QB a great many teams at our level would love to have and that's a FACT!

Underwood before decomitting did not seem to phase Hurley. I like that in the kid

they do this so that they can say "I told you so" if he doesn't work out. I'd rather just support the kid. Being hopeful is more fun than being right.

Yes. He's not a dual threat. I've always considered him closer to CJ Stroud than anything else. However now i think he's similar to the kid starting at Nebraska.
