This dead period of the summer kills me.

I love waking up on Saturdays knowing I’m about to have a whole day of football in front of me. Cooking breakfast with college gameday on in the background.. it’s just my favorite time of year. Then when it finally arrives, it feels like it was only here for a couple of weeks.

Maybe it’s just me, but I’m a little more excited than usual for this coming season… I can’t wait. Geaux Tigers

Nothing like that cool fall weather and sitting on the porch with gameday on. Good breakfast while kids throw the ball in the front yard.

Yep. Then starting a a big pot of beans or whatever’s on the menu for the day. Then everyone shows up to eat/drink/watch football.

Sometimes a night cap with a UFC card after partying all day. Man….. I can’t wait

Chili on the stove, just getting back from a morning hunt, crack a cold beer and listen to everyone have to eat crow on how wrong they were about Lane Kiffins move to LSU because he’s wrecking their hopes and dreams of him failing. Gonna be a GREAT fall boys.

I mean is there not a better time to be alive than fall in the southeast? Cooler weather and college football.

I'll just be happy to have something to do. These last few weeks are just torture. There is just nothing to do on the weekend right now. Kids don't have sports, it's too damn hot to stay outside and do anything all day. School is almost back in so vacations are done. I don't have any interior projects that need to be done. Leaving the driveway is so damn expensive now. I just can't wait. It's my favorite time of year. All of it.

Couldn't agree more. I like a lot of different sports, but late July to mid August is the worst. After the Tour De France, there is only MLB until the NFL preseason games. On top of that, ESPN tries to treat us to a dose of WNBA highlights, which sucks.

I usually watch three college games every Saturday.
First one at 11AM.
Second one at 2:30 or 3.
Third one the night game.

By the next day I’m tired of sitting around watching football and rarely watch NFL, sometimes I’ll watch the Saints game.
