Good, it’s over. Move along to focus on women’s baseball in ncaa tournament, baseball and softball. All three are top ten teams with two being defending national champions.

I don’t disagree he should get a year 3 but just saying I can see why the fan base at large yawns at an NIT appearance even if it is a year over year improvement.

He’s pretty vanilla so it seems like the only way he’ll generate excitement is by proving it first

I fall asleep listening to CoachMc pressers. It's like a cure for sleep apnea without any equipment or cost.

I didn't claim there was an agenda anywhere in my post. What I did state was that for roughly half of Brown's tenure, basketball was more popular at LSU that football. And nobody could even SPELL baseball. These are facts.

Another fact is that if we ever get another coach as good or better than Wade that stays awhile, and we don't SPINELESSLY run off, you will see LSU become a huge basketball school again.

are you calling them racists? Don’t be coy. Just say what you mean.

I think that word is criminally overused and misapplied I'd never use that.

I agree that his presence in front of the media can be boring, monotone, and underwhelming.

I’ve spoken to him in person before on numerous occasions, away from media and cameras. He’s a completely different guy. It was honestly super shocking to me in a good way. I really really like him as a person and want him to succeed.

Away from the media, he seems much more relaxed, he says jokes and has a sense of humor. He said some swear words and said some things about certain players he’d never say in front of the media. You’d only see it if you spoke to him personally, though- which 99% people on here will never do.

I think the real problem is we don't have a history to fall back on. WE have had some good teams, but overall no long history of men's success in BB. We are not Kentucky or Duke or Indiana etc.etc. So therefore the topic doesn't come up very often. Now football or baseball does because we have a long history of fairly good success. Hopefully in Women's BB we have started something to talk about.

You know I'm joking as a coping mechanism, yes?

I like CoachMc, and I want him to succeed as well.

I just want to burn everything down right now.

I don’t understand why people don’t realize that McMahon is the “in between”guy. Like Brady was.

He’s what we could get based on what was going on after the Wade thing, and he’s a bridge to the next guy who will get the full advantage of the clean slate.

I think this issue is that for longtime fans we’ve been here before.
And I kinda fall in the middle in Wade. I’m not a fan of how he was treated. Pretending that our admin didn’t know we paid players is asinine. I can’t stand people who stand behind a fall guy. But I do wonder how much Wade brought on himself because he refused to work with lsu. They wanted him to come in so they could take care of it and he wanted to do it his way.

Were you alive during Dale's tenure? If you were you know for a fact it was huge at LSU. As I've stated, it was BIGGER THAN FOOTBALL at LSU for virtually all of the 1980s.

Of course a lot of that had to do with football being average+ for that decade, and basketball being nationally relevant in that same span.

We had STUDS coming in the next year's recruiting class yearly under Dale (Wade was building this same situation when he was here. In fact, he MURDERS Dale's performance when you compare each coach's first 5 years). We were preseason top 10-20 (and even higher) REGULARLY then. In 1990, LSU was preseason #1 in basketball. We made 2 final fours. Basketball was huge at LSU. You will see this once more if we ever hire AND KEEP the right coach.

All you have to do is look at the women’s basketball program. The fans will show up in large numbers again if you get a passionate HC who consistently wins.

When you hire Trent Johnson 2.0, well…expect Trent Johnson 2.0

So you think Woodward should have kept Wade and run the chance of football (cash cow) paying the price?!? I’m glad you don’t run the company I work for.

Woodward is a clown. Always remember that and it explains most issues with LSU Athletics.

Woodward was a major fail in handling the situation. Other major programs gave a slap on the wrist. This will be a stain on Woodward’s legacy.

I know bro. I’m upset about there being no more games too.

I just felt like replying with what I did to provide insight to the more casual MBB fans as practically everyone shares your opinion because let’s be honest- unless you’re a diehard MBB fan what he says is uninteresting
