But just curious… when it’s time for her contract to be resigned… will she take a pay cut. Over half a million seems kinda steep for Softball.

Maybe she can learn how to recruit from them Lady Bulldogs next door in Starkville... and stop having the same ole Bethball that does just enough to have winning seasons but never show advancement...

She’s arguably the hottest softball coach in the country. It would be insane to get rid of her. Give her a few more years and if her looks decline, then drop her.

In the meantime Miss. State and Arkansas are passing us up and going to the college world series for the first time. It doesn’t matter what she has returning next year and what rank the class is if you don’t have a coach that is hungry to win. I hope we don’t have to wait another 2 years when her contract is up.

It's always the promise of next year's recruiting class. Every season we hear the same thing. She couldn't get it done with a loaded roster in 3 trips to OKC. She won't get it done in the future. She's one of those coaches who wins just enough to overcome her ability to do less with more. Let her finish out her contract and cut her loose. I don't care what her incoming recruiting class looks like.

Just let her finish her contract and hire whoever Verge wants. No need to keep her after her contract is up.

They're (They Are) "Fine & OK" even though the program hasn't been to the WCWS since 2017 (Unacceptable) and ONLY SCORED ONE FRICKING RUN in two games against Alabama in the SR.
Nikki Fargas hung on for way too many years as WBB HC and so has Softball Nikki!
If just making a SR is "Good Enough" then by all means keep her employed at LSU, but she's slipping significantly behind in the SEC.
The program is stagnant and needs fresh new blood to reach the next level.

Look at Southeastern , ULL, McNeese with all good home players. The only Louisiana player we have is a pitcher she has worked with for 10 years.
