Question. How does one bulk and add strength to your shoulders when you have a partially torn rotator cuff? Or are in recovery from such an injury?

So if he had surgery in late June/early July, we could not see Key until the end of October. Do not like.

It isn't solid muscle yet. most of his workouts have been lower body and agility workouts but his rehab has consisted of resistance band work focusing on the muscles that surround the shoulder. The bands usually vary in color and each color is a certain resistance .
For example he holds one end of the band in his hand and his foot is on the other end . He slowly raises him arm parallel to the ground and slowly relaxes it . Strengthening shoulders is a delicate process that really doesn't not have anything to do with lifting heavy weight . It's mostly stretching those ligaments in the inside to prevent sprains and dislocations . He's going through the exact same process Anthony Davis did .

I can't wait to see Key healthy with K'Lavan Chaisson on the field at the same time!

Believe it or not , that's resistance band work on those shoulders .

I want to believe..... I still won't until I see key strip sack fitz sending him back crying to Mullen.

Could turn out to be a blessing in disguise. We'll give many good reps to Chaisson, Martin, Anthony, and Thornton which we need for the end of the season, and we'll get Key back for the most important games. I think we'll be alright.

Youre full of shite. He had a torn labrum. I know for fact. He also was set up through Andrews to rehab and not have surgery. But, influential people in his life talked him into surgery. Which he had it in Atlanta. That's why he didn't get surgery right away. He was supposed to stay on a rehab schedule through Andrews.

That makes sense. I suppose I was thinking military press and the likes of those type lifts.
Thanks for the info.

Isn't that what he said outside of the cuff/ labrum part ?

It's a big gap between late may and early July

me too and took about 5 years of absolutely no throwing of anything. Did heal 100 percent.

Key had a partial tear and had surgery around late may early July so with good care and rehab expect a 3-4month recovery .
Just to clear this up I believe you meant to say late may early june, because it was reported in very early june he had just had surgery. Early July would put him out most of this season.

I hope he gets his degree.
Maybe he will be ready for a few snaps vs auburn.
If he makes plays behind the bama line, thats enough for me.

To add to your point, I'm related to an orthopedic surgeon and I talked to him about why they'd wait to have surgery. He said what you said—the best possible outcome is to not have surgery, to let the injury heal on its own. I tore my labrum and eventually had to have surgery, but we waited to see if it would heal on its own, too.
