He had all of those things at ND except the 100 million! I don’t know how much he stood to make at ND in the next 5-10 years but I’m sure it was more than enough for him to live his best life !

I truly believe that in his egotistical mind he thought that once he had his hands on a program like LSU , the rest of college football would spread its legs and give up a Natty!

I’m sure there were some delusional fans about our 5-2 team in 2022 too
If by delusional you mean fans that thought finishing the year 9-4 with a loss to a terrible A&M team and then a blowout loss in the SECCG is a good year, then I agree, they were delusional to think that.

Hoping he rights his descent. Not as hopeful as my pumper heart usually is, unfortunately.

I think he’s done. Hard for me, a fellow sunshine pumper, to say but if he could do it he would have already gotten it done.

He at least had the balls to see if he had what it takes to succeed at the highest levels of his profession.

Pretty sure for $10 million a year anyone on this board would be happy to be head coach at LSU and even accept defeat and let LSU pay them $50 million to leave.

I don’t see how that shows that you have big balls. Do you say the same thing when a company you work for hires some dipshit as president, he is completely in over his head and runs the company to the ground?

I'm trying not to say this

Looking at his time at Notre Dame, he really sort of floundered for 4 of his first 5 years at ND (Three 8-5 seasons and a 9-4 season), with the one really good year being his BCS Championship appearance. Then he was 10 plus wins in 6 of the next 7 seasons with one outlier 4-8 season. That included his teams making 2 CFP appearances and 2 other NY6 Bowls appearances (he did not coach the last one).

He has the talent, the $$$, the facility, the brand name, the fan support… he has everything a coach could want and his teams have been progressively worse year over year. 4 years is more than enough time with all that he has to at bare minimum be a top 12 team with the competition this year.

You know he’s lost the fanbase when you and I agree on that.
It’s time.

His only hope is running the table. That seems unlikely, to put it mildly.

None of us thought Miles or Coach O would win a title and they did.

We'll see what happens the rest of his tenure at LSU

bullshite. Jimbo Kelly came here to get an unbelievable bag he was never going to get otherwise. He doesn’t give two flying shits about winning at LSU which is borne out by the shitty teams he has trotted out here year after year. Fire Scott. Fire Jimbo. Geaux Tigers.
