I'll ask it. Why did Mett get no meaningful snaps last year?

Was he just that not prepared?
Did CLM actually think that JJ would ever become a competent QB?
Was JL that shaky?
With all of those blow outs, I cannot explain why Mett did not get as many reps as he could. Looking back, CLM's decision not to do so looks that much worse.

We were winning. Didn't want to disturb the balance. Not the best decision but then hindsight is always 20/20.

Why did Rivers get no meaningful snaps last night in a 38 point win?
Mett could get hurt or could be gone after this year. Getting the backup meaningful snaps should be a priority.
Nothing surprises me any more with Les, though.

I'm glad you asked this. I brought it up last night to my buddies but was too afraid for my anus to post it here.
It's pretty ridiculous TBH.
And the whole "he didn't know the offense" thing is BS. A 4th grader with Autism could have learned our offense last year. Hand off, hand off, bubble screen, option. Repeat.
