re: If we don’t get Oklahoma as permanent, who will we play at the end of the year every year?

If they are in fact willing to give up Yulman as a site then I dont see why we cant make something work. Maybe we could even petition for it to count as a P4 game considering their recent success. They are regularly beating lower tier P4 teams anyhow.
If money was not a factor, Tulane last week of the season in the Dome every year would be a great tradition.

At the end of the year fighting for a playoff spot every W counts.

Living in Arkansas now and my take is these hog fans have a total hate for LSU and a total disregard for Missouri.

My only big wish is no faggies. NIL allows them to always have a good roster, paying kids enough to forget they have to move to college station. And thus, making them technically dangerous.
Texas am is in such a peculiar spot for LSU….we dont get super-hyped and play out of our minds because Aggie has never done anything noteworthy in college football….but they get up for LSU and can buy enough talent to be dangerous

Why not Tulane?-- and please don't downvote. That's more our traditional rival than Arkansas or Oklahoma will ever be.

1) OU isn’t a permanent and their game with OSU can be renewed. Thus we have to find a new game.
TUCK FULANE!
Get em back in the SEC and play em on the last Saturday of the season like we used to.........

Then how does Notre dame and navy spilt ticket revenue for navy’s home neutral site games? Notre dame has to at least get 30 to 40% of the ticket revenue.
So if LSU and Tulane did play at the superdome, it will probably be 60% 40% ticket revenue split.
But why would LSU be stupid enough to give up 60% of the ticket revenue at the superdome, when LSU can just play Tulane @ tiger stadium and only pay Tulane a guaranteed of $2 million or less.
Even if LSU did agree to play at the Superdome, LSU would want control of the ticket sales since majority of the fans will be LSU fans. Ticket split would be 80% LSU 20% Tulane or 70% LSU 30% Tulane.
So real question is why would LSU play Tulane at the super dome, when LSU can just play Tulane at tiger stadium?
If LSU wants to play in the superdome then play a P5 opponent then, is no reason why we should be playing a group of 5 on the road or a neutral site game.
Tulane will never agree to play a single guaranteed game at a P5 their future power 5 games are all home and home series against lower level P5 team.

LSU plays a FCS school every year. I’d rather play Tulane
That’s fine if Tulane agrees to play LSU every year in Tiger Stadium.

Would love to play Tulane over some random other shitter yearly. Bring it back

They can alternate playing Arkansas and Oklahoma to end the season, while Missouri does the same. There’s no reason to try to force anything.

not, then I want to see us strike up some relationship with Miami.
How is that gonna happen when Miami isn’t in the SEC?

You don't know the history of LSU--Tulane. In years that Tulane is good, or even halfway competitive their fans come out of the woodwork and fill up that Dome whenever the game was in New Orleans. And Tulane has been very good in recent years.

An easy win. But what if that’s all what’s left?
LSU struggled with Tech. Tulane is actually really good.
Hold your horses

It’s really no different than UGA-GT.
Did you not pay attention to the new schedule rules? SEC teams will now have to play 9 conference games, PLUS they have to play a P4 team OOC every year. That's going to be 10 games that will be home-away, or neutral site.
Georgia Tech, Fla State, Clemson and Louisville (instate out of conference rivals for other SEC teams) are all ACC... which is P4, and thus satisfies that requirement.
Tulane is not. Which means LSU would still have to add a P4 team every season; and which would mean LSU would be agreeing to play a road game for one of the 2 "cupcake" slots on the schedule (unless Tulane agrees to never play a home game).

I think Texas A&M week 2 would work. It should be a national telecasts since inventory so weak.

Looking at this list, only makes me wish that we had an in-state rival. It would really be fun to have a pretty good in-state rival that we had a hard-core hatred with as a fan base. That would make the last game of the year a lot more fun. It’s kind of weird that LSU does not have one.

A Louisiana school would be great.
La Tech or ULL or Tulane
Tulane would be fun. Especially if we ever played in Yulman just to shove it down their throats

Well, you see,
Gt
Lou
Clem
FSU
All can do it, Miami certainly can too.
their rivalry week game is really inconsequential.
It’s either
Duke
Bc
Or Pitt.
Those games suck and there historical reference with Pitt and bc with around thirty games apiece.
But that’s not the end of year rivalry. Nor is LSU bit that game would move a needle if you’re looking avoid Tulane for LSU and Duke if you’re Miami.
