Occasionally if they don't have enough 6 win teams, but it is based on APR scores. Last I saw we were pretty far down the list.

We’re beating A&M, so it doesn’t matter

We've clearly showed the last two games that we have some fight in us. I think our defense can hang with almost anyone in the country they way they are playing right now. That being said, we aren't beating A&M.

I do think we will be one of the more attractive 5 win teams for the bowl selection committees, but I don't think there will be enough slots for 5 win teams for us to get in. We'll get put out of our misery the end of this month.

If we beat A&M but lose it to ULM it’ll be the same end of year outcome. No bowl

Well, then we'd for sure be the best 7 loss team in the country! frick you Ed.

ETA: I don't want LSU bowling this year. If we did, and our 8th loss came to the 7 loss South Southwest New Hampshire State College Birch Trees, I would come unglued. Again, frick you Ed.

No. 6-6 should not get you to a bowl, either. Eight wins should be the minimum for a bowl.

Youngsters remember that this year would have been a glowing success during the Curley reign of terror. So it’s all relative.

Correct I remember Mississippi State making a bowl at 5-7 a few years back.

When do we play Louisville?
Northeast Louisiana is no more deserving of the UL moniker than Southwest Louisiana, but just as deserving as USL.

They're basically both Junior Colleges.

All the colleges in Louisiana should be JC's, except for LSU, Tulane, La.Tech, Grambling and Southern.

An all Louisiana Junior College Conference would be pretty good right off the bat.

The Bayou/Pelican State Conference

Northeast Louisiana JC
Northwest Louisiana JC
Southwest Louisiana JC
Southeast Louisiana JC
McNeese JC
Centenary JC
LSU-Shreveport JC
LSU-Eunice JC
Louisiana College JC

I think 6 wins is the requirement to be bowl eligible

6 wins is an automatic bid. 5 wins you may get a bowl if there are still spots available, but 5 win teams are prioritized by team GPA.

JC designation isn't based on the football program. It's based on academic offerings. universities offer more than junior colleges which offer more than community colleges.

Curley was 5-6, 2-9, 5-6, 4-7. Not too terribly far off from O's post-NC record.

If we lose to Aggy, what would be the point of going to a bowl game and watching us lose again? At that point, to hell with extra practice, just end the season!

there are cases a 5-7 team gets a bowl invite, but i think LSU should turn down the invite. LSU needs to end the season , get Ed O out the building, and focus on getting the new head coach in.
