I don't get it, bro. Even the hard core O skeptics shouldn't be using this game as anything other than entertainment

I think it could improve my opinion of him more than hurt it. LSU is in an NY6 Bowl and we haven't had a 10 win season under O yet. To do that would be a good step in the right direction. Also O having the team come out and ready to play (highly motivated) will be a good sign too as LSU in general has a hard time playing inspired in bowl games.

If we lose to UCF there's some concern there because there's really no reason we should lose to them. If we lose its because we played uninspired football or O is coaching scared which are both things that would negatively impact my view of him going forward. The other thing is if he loses this and whiffs on some of the question mark guys we are recruiting its gonna look even worse. That would be a very poor end to a fun season.

Losing 3 games, 2 of which were to teams with less talent and 1st year head coaches was "fun"? Keep lowering that bar. Maybe one day O will jump over it.

Most coaches are given 3 years to make their mark on the program

He was the recruiting coordinator under Miles. Miles was fired 3 games into the season. He’s had more than 3 years to build a team, and this should really count as his 3rd year.

He’s had a decent year but the UF and AtM losses are inexcusable given the difference in talent. I know we got hosed by the refs in that game, but it shouldn’t have been that close and we played shitty the whole game. Lost the bowl game last year due to coaching. This bowl game is a big deal for LSU. We don’t want to be the laughing stock that lost to a mid-major. We’re a P5 program and need to be coached like one.

We shouldn’t be interested in 9 win seasons. My left foot could coach a team of LSU’s talent to 9 wins. If O can’t win at a major level then he needs to GTFO

Fans are screaming this game is meaningless... so why does anyone care if they lose? Today’s word of the day: HYPOCRISY

Right, because all the ones saying it’s meaningless are the same ones saying we need to win....

Take a course in logic next semester.

Don’t really care about the bowl. 2019 will be the deciding factor for me.

Mostly his players. Second year of his handpicked OC. 5th yr senior qb. Very few excuses out there.

Same here.

Why don't you take your left foot and your calls for change, & GTFO

Yes, We should win, but our TWO CBs are sitting this one out and we are playing a 25-0 team.

Did you just want to ignore that they won't have their QB?

We beat UGA and we are in a NY6 bowl. We beat Auburn in Auburn on a last second FG from a kicker who played at a DII school a year ago. Yeah those were exciting games to me. Yes I enjoyed watching them. No I didn't like when we lost to UF, got blanked by Bama, or blew it against ATM. I think the offense needs a major overhaul still and O isn't delivering there.

It's amazing how someone could enjoy watching football and still want improvement from the team. I guess you're just not one of those people.

Fun=/=Great or best. I'm not lowering any bar nor did I say that. I said I had fun watching the games. I feel sorry for you if you watched every game and couldn't find a single bit of fun to enjoy. Must have been a shitty season for you.

U R right there, but they still scored 56 in their last game.

Aranda likes 1 on 1 match ups THAT SCARES me with new players.

We will be without a boatload of people who would be starting

Instead of setting yourself up to complain before the game, just try to enjoy it and be happy

Nah, who an I kidding.. you can't do that

Agree with the OP, this actually is an important game for LSU.

10 win season on the line, SEC "power team" vs undefeated mid-major. You could say there's little to gain, but much to lose... credibility is at stake. And we don't have the 'letdown' excuse Auburn had last year after losing the SEC championship, if anything we should want to make up for the A&M game.

I know UCF has a potent offensive scheme, and they COULD outscore us.
But this is a matchup 100% built for us. We have the defensive scheme to slow them down, regardless of Greedy sitting out. And for once, our O line shouldn't be at a huge disadvantage vs their D line, so we should be able to do what we want on offense.

Win this and you can say the bleeding is stopped and the program can start climbing again, lose this and all bets are off.

“ we exceeded everyone’s expectations this year”

5-3 in the West with our 1st L to A&M in 20 yrs, a L to a Fla team in its 1st yr under a new coach, our 2nd yr in a row of not scoring in TS vs Bama, and having a O with worse stats than the one we had 3 yrs ago exceeded your expectations for LSU football???

It appears JA has been successful in one thing for sure, lowering the expectations for LSU football.

Do you have a reading disability?

We certainly surpassed almost every prognosticators predictions for this season, fact

We did not surpass my expectations for the season.

He definitely needs to win this in the worst way. Fell short at Notre Dame last year, fell short against a game Florida team, and fell short / partially cheated out of a win against the Aggs.

I passed judgement after Troy. Orgeron won't change that mindset until he wins a Natty at LSU.
