And he made these exact same hires , would the Rant still be bitching about everything?

I don’t like O, hardly anybody does, but can we let this fricking season play out before we decide to burn everything down? It should have happened soon as Alleva dotted his named on the fricking line . On the bright side, the first game of the season will tell us a lot . Fo the sake of these kids and potential recruits , let’s get behind them , give them all the support in the world. Prepare to go to Arlington, get drunk off our arse while watching our Tigers knock The “U” off their high horse and back on their arse where they belong .

Geaux Tigers !

Send the downvotes lol

No. Tom Herman can hire Joey from the corner mart to be OC if he wants.. Because he was OC at Ohio Freaking state and won a national championship. He's also much more successful than coach O in a much shorter amount of time.

If the whole theory behind hiring a extremely underwhelming coach is to surround him with the best coordinators available, you better do that.

Any other hire besides Ensminger has ranged from mehh to decent. but Ensminger is inexcusable at this point.

Fans show up in support for every school in the country. If all it took was fan support, every team would be good. It takes good players and a coaching staff that is detail oriented in creating a vision for the team and a game plan during the season, then communicating what those are to the players.

So what you're asking me is if we had a different head coach, would people be more excited and view the state of the program differently?

Is this the third thread with essentially the following premise "Forget about O" "O doesn't matter" "Imagine a successful coach in the LSU head coaching position" ....like to "feel good" the requirement is that we don't think about the head coach.

Am I the only one that sees the problem with the idea that feeling confident in our program requires ignoring our head coach?

He also had as many wins against opponents ranked in the top 10 (at friggin Houston) as Orgeron had SEC wins, pre LSU.

Which one do you think had more of a "hiccup moment?"

Losing a conference game on the road isn't quite the same as paying someone to beat you on homecoming.

But to answer the OP's question, there would be less bitching because Ree and Space Cowboy would've hung themselves before Herman could've made any hires.

You realize UH and SMU are in the same conference? UH losing to SMU is like LSU losing to Kentucky or a 5-7 MSU/Vandy/Missouri type team

With what was by far the most talented team in the conference. UH was favored by 23 and lost 38-16.

BUT, the offensive genius was able to put up 303 total yards against the juggernaut called SMU.

It's hard to imagine anybody being able to put up over 300 yards against a team that was 3-5 AAC and 5-7 overall. Pure offensive genius on display in that game.

Would Herman have beaten Auburn?

You O-Haters can't have it both ways.

For the record, Ed Orgeron has been a part of three national championship teams, two at Miami and one at USC.

He is also a member of the Screen actors Guild.

My feeling is that good coaches can do as well or better than bad coaches....
so I'll go with yes.

Whatever mental exercise they employ to frame our situation in a positive light requires Orgeron to be omitted from the equation.

Every pumper thread is describing how all of these new things are going to be the difference, and none of it has anything to do with Orgeron. Is HE changing at all? If not, why are we expecting anything differently?

I don't know why people do this to themselves.
