Would that be a total teardown and rebuild is same place?

Would it even be called the PMAC anymore?

They would probably still call it the PMAC like they did with Alex Box Stadium.

Move the track stadium over by the Box and the Tennis complex. Build PMAC at site of current track.

From my understanding they have a company looking into and giving them options and estimates.

True. Bet it's done before a new bridge though.

On the river. The team can play in the PMAC unil it is complete. As an alternative, you could remodel the interior of Parker-Ag; that would be pretty cool.

Surely you understand that we need a new basketball arena more than a new bridge.

Hopefully on campus side of Nicholson and not further away like Alex Box.

Why not just put in exact same place. That location is perfect. Would have to travel or play somewhere else for 1 year but it’s doable.

Is the Centroplex still around? As I recall, the Baton Rouge hockey team used to play in the Centroplex. It seems like they could reconfigure it for a year or two while they tear down the PMAC and build a new PMAC.

Bridge yes. But not more than we need 2 or more lanes traveling east off of that bridge rather than the one lane there now that backs up traffic past the Lobdell exit on a "normal" week day.

Yes its now the Raising Cane's River Center. Saw KISS play at the then Centroplex circa 1977.

Seems to me that the two logical options are:

1. A teardown and rebuild in the same location or
2. Move Bernie Moore and build it there.

I like option #2.

If money were no object:

1. Build an 8,000 seat NEZ Upper with 20 suites., but don't obscure or cover up the classic outside arch design, or incorporate it in the addition.

2. Tear down PMAC and re-route North Stadium drive further north (maybe even curve it to get a greater effect of TGBFTL marching down Victory Hill) to allow room for the new NEZ upper structure.

3. At the site of the current PMAC, add parking, tailgating and additional greenspace, places for pep rallies, additional landmarks to incorporate with Mike's Habitat.

4. Re-build the new 20,000 seat PMAC on Nicholson on campus or river side; or near Alex Box. Add footwalks over Nicholson to both venues, and more tailgating and parking.

5. Move Bernie Moore to Nicholson/River Road and build new PMAC at site of current Bernie Moore.

Would be a huge mistake to have that high of capacity. About 12,000 would be much better.

What would be really cool is to build out past Tiger Park and have it go up high enough to have windows that look at the Mississippi River. It could be part suites but also some general public sections which you know would quickly become selfie territory. This would also make it easier to arrive and leave as the parking is better out there.
