The Fultons have an Alabama attorney. Oh the irony if he pulls this off!
But really, what a crock of shite given Fulton ultimately had a clean test.

A Forensic Panel found that the NCAA’s testing procedure in the Fulton case lacked a “valid chain of custody,”
If he doesn't get it overturned, they should have a case for a suit. The NCAA blew it!

I thought he turned in a sample that tested positive for birth control?
Just the opposite, actually. His sample tested positive for pregnancy.

Read the article. It says he got nervous and poured the borrowed sample down the toilet and actually submitted his own sample, which came back clean for PEDs and contained only a very small level of THC.

Guy saw him pouring piss into the tube from a beaker so Fulton poured the sample down the urinal and peed in it himself.
He didn’t even submit a fake sample and he passed.

He probably smoked a few puffs at a party and had never done much of that kind of thing before. Had to take a pee test and freaked out. Now the rule is the rule, so no I am not going to cry bull crap. However, it seems obvious this kid screwed up because he doesnt normally do that sort of thing and freaked out.

Pretty sure he just likes pot but didn’t realize it was a test for roids

Ryan Clark needs to get his employer to run this story...

This is another example about the ncaa being completely corrupt. Bama had those boys in La get caught with weed and stolen guns and the ncaa closed their eyes.

As I understand it he was given a one year suspension for failing the test and a one year suspension for trying to cover up. Didn't he actually pass the test? If so that would leave one year for cheating. He has already served one year so why isn't he eligible this year. I mean didn't he actually pass the test?
edit> somehow I believe a good lawyer could rip this suspension to shreds

No. The suspension for tampering with the test was 730 days

Realizing it’s a stated punishment.....
That being said, you can be on video knocking out a woman and have a lesser punishment than “tampering” with the sample. As evidenced by Ol boy at State (one game suspension I think) and what’s his face from OU.
For that matter.... be a sex offender and still play ie. Lukey boy from Oregon St.
He did “tamper”, but when he realized he fricked up he supplied his own. Per article.

Is football that important that we throw 100% support behind folks who break the law? That we simply ignore the crime and demand full clemency? What does this teach these youngsters who so blatantly break the laws, and whether you like it or not, smoking & possessing weed is still a law.
I hope your kids have a mother who respects the law more than your sorry arse...maybe with luck they'll turn out to be productive members of society while their dad goes all-in for football.

Wrong question, but I fixed it for you.
And the answer is yes. Especially when it's felt that the punishment does not fit the crime.
As far as the "crime" he committed, Yes, marijuana use is illegal in Louisiana, but what is the punishment for being caught with it or smoking it? A first-time offender will probably get a few hours of community service.

Thanks for fixing it for me...but it's not just LSU football. I'm not that naïve, but it seems we are willing to look the other way when it comes to "star athletes" who may be able to help our team win games. A curve for grading test in school is different than using a curve to allow or accept crimes committed. How many kids would like that scholarship to follow the law and the rules? Oh, that's right...they can't play football.

He didn't realize he screwed up, he got caught, panicked and tried to get rid of the evidence. Is the crime too severe? Yes but let's not act like he was innocent and changed the error of his ways. He was caught red handed. No two ways about it
