In today's football other conferences that are not as strong top to bottom have to shedule big time non conference teams to play against to get quality wins. LSU simply doesn't have to do that. We're in the hardest and most brutal division and conference of them all. At all times 5 out of the 7 teams in the west could be ranked in the top 25 and on top of that we have an annual cross division opponent that is a perrenial top 25 team as well. So if I'm scheduling one game then it's just after midseason and it's against Georgia Southern or a program like that. So I can rest players and heal up for the November stretch of the schedule. LSU plays in a kickoff classic usually to get one of the four OOC games against a big time program and does it for national attention and does it just so we can say we didn't okay four cupcakes which I guarantee Verge would do in a heartbeat if he could get away with it. One hundred percent.

Out of all the good schools everyone has picked there is no one id like to play more than Clemson. They stole our shine with our mascot and stadium name. Even beat us a couple of times which makes it even worst. I want Clemson. We got to steal our shine back. Geaux ??

I say frick the SEC "giving" us a non conference team to play every year. Let us keep picking different teams.

USC or UCLA. It's interesting that one SEC team (Tennessee) has a long history of playing UCLA (~ 20 times, beginning in 1965) whereas LSU has never played the Bruins in football.

You do realize that the SEC doesn’t schedule non-conference games, right?

Nebraska
This actually could be a good answer.

Intersectional matchups usually focus on the programs' history, and Nebraska's is second to none. The fans still support them rabidly. It WOULD garner attention, and I think it would be the type of thing Nebraska would do to try to reignite the program.

And yet, despite all the lore, right now it wouldn't be as bad a matchup as, say, Auburn.

Boise St, tired of people having them over ranked all year.
Yea, remember back when Georgia tried that? Didn't work out so well. Boise's a lose-lose... if you win, then their record is just the result of weak scheduling. If you lose, it's embarrassing.

A lot of good ones, I like FSU or Clemson. If we did FSU, we would have to drop the stupid SEC E forced rivalry. We already play Texas A&M, no need for Texas.

Agree. I would say FSU as a distant second. Since Texas and Florida are two of our best OOS recruiting sites it would be beneficial to play those games.
