Tell me from the way they have played so far that they have a chance of winning even one game in league play. Hell South Carolina had Auburn on the ropes but couldn't finish and I know it was a home game for South Carolina, but LSU got dominated at home by Vandy yeah the same Vandy that was 9-20 last year!

This is probably the toughest conference in NCAA history.
So that's the excuse? It's a tough conference? Come on baw. I was expecting better from you

It's a historically tough conference. Obviously the first 3 games haven't gone well, just have to hope we can find a lineup that gels. The turnovers are maddening.

The only thing is just random bad game for a team where we steal a win. Other than that we can’t beat anybody.

You must be counting “Moral victories”…

They may go winless on road, but there are 4-5 home wins on the schedule
I'm a sunshine pumper and I don't know if I see 4 or 5 home wins right now. I might feel different if things dramatically shift or maybe Williams adds a spark. I see three and I am not sure they win all three unless they stop passing to the other team.

Hope all we have right now.
That being said, 0-18 is highly unlikely. Also we should consider that the 3 teams we have played are the type of teams that’s strength is our weakness.
All isn’t lost for this season, but we have played 2 teams near the bottom of the conference and haven’t fared well.

I had high hopes for this team but from what they’re displaying through three conferences games, I’m not willing to say 0-18 is out of reach

Mcloser is killing lsu basketball. He is so close to losing the team like he did in year 1.

we were 2-1 this time last year with worse talent. including a road thrashing of a good atm team
We started the year with better talent, but after losing Reed and Ward, we may have more potential, but I don’t think we’re as talented. We’ve essentially lost Reed, Ward, Wright, Cook, Hunter, Baker, Wilkinson, Stewart, and Hannibal. All were experienced. Williams is the only freshman that played last year. Ward and Reed were the only other inexperienced players that got a lot of playing time. This year both Millers, Givens, Chest, Collins and Williams all are inexperienced., and 5 of them get a lot of playing time. Wright is better than Carter. Cook is better than Sears, even though Cook didn’t finish the season. Last year’s Williams may be better than Sears. Bailey is better than Hannibal, but maybe not better than the combo with Ward. Collins is an upgrade overall over Baker, but Dean is better than Miller. So we have better depth, but without Reed and Ward, and after last year’s team lost Cook, this year’s team, that is playing, is at best equally talented, but much more inexperienced and playing against a much better SEC.

Cook is better than Sears,
cook was an inefficient shot chucker and a cancer in the locker room. mcmahon told me this directly, though he worded it nicer.
also i'd say all things considered bailey is just as good if not better than wright. he just plays a smaller role. don't forget last year how people on here said jordan wright was not 1st option material.

i love mike, but this is pushing it

i agree about dean. but it's a moot point because mcmahon refused to play him.
will baker and carlos stewart were so bad that it drags the team down tremendously. not to mention williams and fountain who are pieces that carry over are playing less this year for seemingly more talented players (at least in the eyes of the coaching staff). chest is also playing this year and he's proven to be better than baker, dean, collins, and miller.
also, i think you and other posters are underselling how good sears, carter, and bailey are and how much of a negative impact coaching has their performances

MM will be fired. I’m surprised more people don’t think it’s inevitable. Woody doesn’t keep coaches too long.

I think we'll win a couple of games, hell even that atrocious team that had totally quit on Johnny Jones his last season won two SEC games.
But this is just hard to watch. This is a deeper issue than - oh, we have one of our better players out.
Watching that offense made my eyes bleed! Any team that gets the least bit physical with us we go into a shell. It's like a football team whose receivers can't get separation. No one gets open for us on offense and if you try to pass to them it get's stole because we don't run crisp routes, go to the ball, screen well, etc., etc.
So we end up just dribbliing around with no purpose and jacking long three's or tough shots. It's maddening.
Some call it a high school offense. Well if it is, we don't run it correctly. We let physical play take us out of everthing we want to do way too easily.

They won't go 0-18. They're not bad, they're just not good
I would say they are actually about average, and yes, they will get some wins.....the problem is that the SEC is unbelievable this year.....like not even close to ever this good before.

After watching that South Carolina/Auburn game and watching that one dude totally outplay the guy from Auburn who is supposed to be the SEC player of the year this year, and I mean outplay him badly - we ain't got nobody that can stop that dude.
We can maybe match the rest of their team and outplay them but that guy's gonna kill us scoring and on the boards.

So who do they pass it to inside? Their most physical player is lost for the season and the other post player is talented but rail thin.
