I can handle LSU losing but the MSU loss is inexcusable, as was the Troy loss.

Its different fallin short to a decent SEC team vs having our asses handed to us by bad teams

Hyperbolic much? He was supposed to not lose to Troy. He was supposed to be an improvement over Miles. Do you really think he is an improvement?

It should.

If LSU beats Auburn, it should give some confidence that the program is actually capable of functioning under Orgeron. It doesn't mean Orgeron was a good hire or that he's going to end up being viewed as a good coach. But, a win against Auburn will be a legitimate upset.

FYI, I think we are going to be beaten pretty soundly (double digits easily)

While I don't like the criticizing of the players, I reserve the right to criticize both the coach who is making $3.5 million and is owed $12 million more with a resume that doesn't compute as far as being head football coach at LSU and the incompetent AD who hired him. If pigs fly and he becomes a winning coach I'll give him his due.

Actually, yes. A little will.

But more importantly, O needs to finish strong in recruiting. If not, we're in serious trouble.

I never wanted coach zero. I was devastated when he was hired. I feared a decline and that is what we are witnessing.

I blame none of the players. They play for my Alma Mater and win or lose, they are my team.

I am sick and tired of zero sunshine pumpers. He is accountable the way Miles was, Saban, Dianrdo, Hallamn and Archer.

You want the big whistle, you have to take the hits that come with it. His dissing players really pisses me off and proves I was right about him.

I really hope I am wrong. I don't want LSU hiring another coach.

Ultimately your ridiculous assertion here is unknowable.

What we do know is Orgeron is our head coach and is one of the worst I've ever seen.

Not much, but I have never said he was an improvement.
My question is what is the good of continuously denigrating the LSU coach and team? That is 90% of this board for the last month.

ETA: And I'm not a sunshine pumper. I'm just trying to actually enjoy the season, win or lose. It's just a game, and the outcome affects my life absolutely none.

This along with coordinators leaving after year 1 or 2 was always my biggest concern. The program has no identity under Orgeron because he's never excelled in any role other than DL coach/recruiting. Our identity will always just be a mish-mash of whoever our coordinators are. Then there's the issue of O being THE face of the program in recruiting. He can get the job done as a back room guy, but the material to negatively recruit against him and LSU is quite bountiful.

I thought there were rules on here about personal attacks toward coaches and players, but obviously not. There are no boundaries when it comes to hating the HC and the quarterback this year.

I'm not seeing personal attacks. We're merely saying O was unqualified for the job and, for the most part, the team's play on the field has been terrible, with two historic losses in O's first 5 games.

maybe 90% of this board thinks O is a disaster as head coach.

This. The "personal attack" assertions are false and are simply meant to distract.

I'm going to root for LSU to win every game. But, not only the results on the field, but O's actions following losses, including some of the behind the scenes details that are coming to light indicate that the new O is the old O. I say this as someone that was willing to give him a chance.

My biggest issue now is that Alleva needs to go first. Unless this situation is fixed at the top, it's not going to get better. He can not be allowed to put his grubby fingers on another HC search.

People with your mindset gave us 4...I say again ...FOUR horrific years of Curly Hallman.
O is not better than Curly...he may be Moe or Larry...but he's still a stooge. Wake up!

As someone who frequents this board I can say that the rant was night and day between the Troy loss and the Gaytors win.

Now, there was still the extreme posters from each camp. But the rhetoric and the feeling changed. TIFWIW
