If Kiner doesn’t get the vast bulk of the carries…

He got the majority of the running back carries THIS week - 12 of 20.

Also, there are factors you are unaware of. Like maybe he doesn’t know half the playbook. Believe me when I tell you that the coaches know who to play better than we do on the rant.

He only had 4 carries in the game until about 10 minutes left in the game and we had the 2nd string in.

Don’t act like he was the lead back the whole game. They kept throwing TDP in there and he was terrible

TDP is not a good RB. He has no wiggle and goes down on the first contact often. I was really rooting for him to take off this year but so far it’s not good.

If he doesn’t know enough plays then someone needs to sit down with him and teach him. 3 is not the back for the system we are running. Kiner gives you a chance to get some yards on the ground.

It's not a matter of teaching him run plays, it's more about learning all the checks and pass protection. That takes time to learn for rookie RBs. TDP was primarily a pass blocker last night. The OL needs all the help it can get.

Agreed, I’m over TDP. At a point where I cringe when I see him in the game.

TDP has the same speed. No bust no cutting ability just the same speed. Btw to give him credit he did pick up a blitzer last night in pass protection

Yeah, I 'd like to see him get some earlier carries. He's looked great against exhausted.defenses but we can't fault him for that. All he can do is take advantage of the carries he gets.

Kiner needs to be the starter. ‘Nuff said.

Agreed kiner is more dynamic than price and emery from what I have seen.

Exactly. I hope we can package personnel to take advantage of their respective strengths more better.

It won’t matter much if the line doesn’t improve. I wasn’t encouraging to see a central Michigan Chippewa put Chasen Hines on his back with ease or blow Liam Shanahan 3 yards back into the pocket.

I saw that. That might be why he’s getting as much playing time as he is.

The coaches have a ton of pressure on them to play upperclassmen, play who they like, set themselves up for certain recruiting pitches, etc. that clearheaded third party observers don’t have to deal with.

If they don’t play Kiner, they’re fricking stupid. We need to win and we need to win now, our offense will be completely ineffective against anyone remotely good with TDP getting 2.5 YPC. Davis-Price is a gigantic liability and needs to sit. Let Kiner figure out the playbook as he goes if it comes down to it. He’s a good player and will figure it out.

TDP has had way more opportunities than he’s deserved to do something, anything, and he hasn’t. Time to move on

I said before the season Kiner would be the feature back before the season ends and I stick with that statement...

The coach has said this. Says he doesn’t want to have someone dedicated back there to protect Max as it takes an option away but here we’re are. TDP is not only better than Kiner at that, he’s actually really good.

However TDP just sucks at running the football. Kiner appears to be pretty special with the ball, I’m not surprised at all by it. Need to get him touches.
