Yeah, right...no pressure to win the bowl game.

Really?

I mean, it was his first BIG start...bowl game...chance to end the season on a high...against a higher ranked opponent...and he played his arse off.

However, it will be interesting to see if he can play with well with all the pressure on him - something he has yet to do.

And I guess we get to see how Jake handles pressure as well.

I'm not convinced that Locker is that good. Easy to look like a star when the rest of the team looks that bad.

How is Jlocker 1 of the best qbs in the country? He has tons of upside but not 1 of the best.

Jefferson could throw 3 interceptions and LSU would still win by 17.

Should have been 1 without the bogus penalty against BYU. Of course last season they opened against 3 teams in top 15 before getting Stanford so they were expected to be at best 1-3.

SEC speed is a myth. Where was Alabama's speed against Utah last year?

Bama still had the speed advantage...
And we have the speed advantage over Bama

Pressure of what... handing the ball off for a 300 yard rushing game against your pathetic excuse for a defense (glad you are returning so many of those superstars)

Road, you are in for a surprise Saturday night! Jake is a very developed passer, but his running is lethal! One of the best overall, and dare I say best, dual threat QB's in the country. While you will find better pocket passers, I believe Jake brings the best combination of running and throwing ability to the table.

Doesn't seem that far fetched to me.

No weapons.

Come back and talk to me after the game.

We actually have a guy in our conference who is pretty good, too.

seriously, do you have a straight face while you type this.

Great running QB... has never demonstrated a passing game. No skill players around him (when Goodwin is the best of the best.. that says all we need to know)

All Jefferson will need to do is manage the game and get the ball in the playmaker's hands. The talent around him should suffice.

LSU has so much talent on offense. They will put up 40+. Washington can't score that on LSU.

quote:

Jefferson should not even have to throw the ball 20 times for LSU to win this one. Scott, Williams, and Co should have 200-300 rushing yards in this game.

Jefferson doesn't have to do a thing but handoff and we win by 20+

Now you are starting to sound like Ole Miss.

Jake will be doing a lot of running, but only because our defense will be chasing him down for sacks. He may have put up some decent numbers in his four starts, but this isn't the weak as Pac-10 defense. Arizona thought they had a shot against us in Arizona a few years back, and they had a pretty good team (better than UW) and we beat them by 50 or so.

Good luck in the game Saturday, you will need it.

I thought we were talking about UW's QB. . .not UF's.

Maybe you mean UTA's. There are many dual threat QB's better than Locker.

Tebow may be a better passer, but Jake is much more agile when he runs, and perhaps a bit faster. That is why I feel he is one of the best dual threats in the nation.
