Without a doubt. The losing season will be forgotten once the winning starts again. The greatest season and possibly team of all time will never be forgotten.

Of course I would. But I live in reality and what you are describing is actually happening. You know it's bad when some Bama fans are showing sympathy for us. And it aint just Bama fans.

3rd and 17 forever!

Yes I would take that, but only for a short period of time.

Absolutely. Had this conversation with some fans while watching the Missouri game and the unanimous answer was yes.

Saying that, Les never lost to Troy and never lost to Auburn and Miss St in historic fashion.

I think 41-7 was historic at the time

And Les has the first loss to Miss State since the fricking 90s.

Like last Saturday it could've been much worse than 41-7. Also who can forget Bert Bielema's Arkansas whupping Leslie to the tune of a combined 48-14 in 2014-15.or 58-28 at Florida in 2008

Coach O wasn’t even smart enough to steer clear of the Les Miles assistant coaching hire method. O went out and hired his old buddies or the popular name choice and all but 1 has faile

Coach O “buddies” landed him burrow and Brady. Coach O has assistants he trusted, ensminger lead him to Brady, Busch to burrow. ya think if Matt Canada was here and him and O were butting heads he woulda offered a job to a coach canada recommended? Having “buddies” and trust in the coaching staff has been a huge positive for LSU.

Of course. We're talking about the single greatest season in cfb history. So LSU is terrible in this freak show of a season. I'm having a hard time getting too bent out of shape about it. This season is a freak show. It will be remembered as the weird covid season.

Does anyone remember or care about what great teams of the past did the next season? Does anyone talk about '96 Nebraska or '06 Texas, or '05 USC? Of course not. Only greatness is remembered.

It's not a lack of talent. I believe it is because all of these young 4 and 5 stars have never faced adversity. They were always the best or one of the best players on the field and many of them did it on God given talent not effort. The going has gotten hard and they crumble.

Hell yes. A 15 win championship season followed by a 2 win season beats two seasons in a row finishing #2.

Difference here is Coach O won with a team he actually built, luck or not...Les got gifted a championship team...I think that buys him a little more time in this day n age of transfer football....

How many fans of NCAA football do you believe would reject that deal.
I can remember when I didn't think we would ever win another national championship, prior to Saban.
There are fans in the conference whose team will never win a championship.

I still get a tent-riser just watching Greenberg gush about LSU's
greatest CFB season ever on youtube.

So, yes I'd take a bad season - but it won't be the 'worst season ever.' The season is only half over.

I don't think many other teams could have come back from what we lost to graduation and the draft, plus the opt-outs, plus the transfers, plus the injuries.

I don't believe O is going to be another NC coach spiraling downward.

We have Top 5 recruiting classes (so far) for both 2021 and 2022.

The 2019 season will be talked about as a reference to other good teams forever.

No-one but the O haters/Miles lovers will remember this season,if we right the ship next season.
I'd rather live this nightmare during the Covid season than a normal year.

If it tanks the program no.

If O is as much of a fraud as some of us think he is, his buyout is too much and he’ll be here til 2023 at least. Pelini is here til the last year of his contract. Once recruiting takes a hit I have no idea how long it will take to rebuild the program IF we get a good coach.
