Normally they do it for the Miss State game, or one of the earlier home games.
no they don't.
Ole War Skule and LSU Salutes takes precedent. sorry for inconveniencing your tailgate.

Since the Parade Ground won't be available, setting up in the Track Stadium or the open field in front of the Natatorium seems like the best options. Great view of Tiger Stadium and it won't impede (much) on tailgating or parking.
But all of this is moot until we see what happens in other games on Saturday.

LSU Salutes is an opportunity for the Ole War Skule to recognize and honor those who served with distinction in the Armed Forces of the United States of America, along with special guests, including all veterans and former and current cadets. By resolution of the LSU Board of Supervisors in March of 1998, LSU Salutes was established as an official University observance. It occurs each November on the Saturday of a home football game which falls nearest to Veterans Day. The event also recognizes and honors POWs, MIAs, and Congressional Medal of Honor recipients. LSU Salutes continues to be the catalyst for renewal of institutional and alumni commitment to the Ole War Skule. Through this effort, citizens are reminded of the significant sacrifices made by so many former and current cadets, alumni, and others who make possible our freedom today. They are also given the opportunity to express their appreciation and support for those who continue to serve and those preparing to serve in the Armed Forces of the United States of America.
We tailgate by Memorial Tower. Yes, it is a inconvenience and we also wish LSU would opt to choose another game. Veterans Day is Nov 11 this year (Friday before Arkansas game), so they could have easily opted for the original South Alabama game. It is a somber ceremony, except for when a cannon is fired and 21 gun salute takes place. LSU asks for all music to be turned off and for quiet. Old veterans, like from WW2, are honored.
What about the grassed triangle by Walk-On's? LSU owns it and could set up Game Day there.

I'm pretty sure they like to do it in advance of the 11th unless there is a home game on the 12th or 13th.

If Game Day doesn't come, which I don't think they will, that SEC Network Game day show will likely be there.

I liked when Gameday was moved to the old front 9. It worked out well. Allowed for many people to camp out and created a nice atmosphere. However it inconvenienced tailgaters there and at the parade grounds with the salutes.
PMAC ramp is no longer an option because Gameday requires so much space now. The lot by walkons was talked about at one time as well. The only problem there if Gameday agrees to come to BTR then it rains that Friday night or even Saturday that area is a huge mess when it rains and easily floods.

I loved the original location on top of the Pmac ramp.

I believe they've set up on the PMAC ramp/concourse before. I think it was Georgia in like 03.
They did for Florida in 2007.

That's would suck just because it's just kind of out of the way of the rest of the campus

Ohio state is playing Nebraska on ABC that night. Both are top 10 now. Wouldn't they go there?
Wisconsin needs to be Nebraska this weekend.

This. This was the best location they've ever selected.
