If CJJ doesn’t get the pitching issues sorted out, this team

won’t make it out of a regional.

Getting Guidry back and a few of these guys settled in will help. I think a couple guys are close, some are not ready to pitch meaningful innings this year unfortunately. I think Noot will be used on the weekend moving forward as well.

If he travels for a regional, that’s 3 out of 4 years.

Yes how you play against a top ten team on the road in the 2nd series of sec play determines the rest of the season. Great logic buddy!

LSU didn't even get their pitching figured out until regional play two years ago. Just takes time, the pieces are there.

Its early. It will get worked out especially if Guidry returns.

If that happens, he needs to take a hard look at replacing Yeskie. Since he's a hitting guy, his legacy may largely depend on his pitching coach.

Considering in Jay’s previous ten seasons as a head coach he’s made it out of a regional three times I’m not sure why we should expect it a better result.
Hope for? Sure. Expect? Not really anything to back that up.

The 5 isn’t the problem on Sunday. It’s the 0.

Even last year, they didn’t properly use Helmers until literally the last game of the year.
Hate to say it, but subpar pitching decisions are a pattern with this coaching staff.

CJJ does not GAF about pitching. Take away Skenes and his numbers are the same everywhere he has been. His only strategy is to hit for power and score a bunch of runs.

there has just been 0 continuity
part of that is recruiting and part of that is injuries
we have had so few pitchers who even play 2 years back to back.
and go figure 1 of them is our best pitcher who of course may go pro.
So we fill gaps with transfers and then do it again the next year

Yep like last year
Last years squad didn't have the offense this year does. We relied way too much on the long ball.

Nobody past Anderson in the starting lineup is pitching well either. It’s not just relief pitching. Seems like every year it’s the same thing . A bunch of hype in the preseason about how good our pitching staff is THiS YEAR only to see otherwise.

This. Against a guy making his first start.

That's never a formula for consistency.
