I wonder if everything came full circle for Miles Saturday.

He stated in the Gameday segment that he would be watching LSU play Saturday night, so I wonder if he sat through the whole game...it must have been painful to watch LSU do so well on offense without him at the helm. I truly believe Les did what he thought was best for the team on offense. It just happened to be the wrong direction that he needed to be going. I hope he can pick up another coaching job but if not at least stay around college football in some capacity.

I'm tired of seeing Miles' name. We need time to appreciate him down the road, but most of us here want to focus on the good Orgeron has done in one week. This is all about Orgeron.

Nope!! Les did not enjoy that game. He thinks that we didn't allow Mizzou the opportunity to compete. His philosophy is to keep it close, wear the opponent down. Then win in in the 4th

Remember, this is a man who got pissed mightily that Mett almost bootlegged a TD in an Ole Miss blowout. He punished him and the team by making them kneel the ball for the final few minutes

I thought that the entire game. It almost felt scripted... like Miles must have been the tragic character in a comedy. The players and coaches went on and on after the game about the changes and how that's why they did so well. Ouch...

But hey, it's the truth and it played out well for us. I defended Miles many times when I was sick of the way grown men bitched every day, but he should've let offensive coaches do their jobs. To his credit, though, the coaches and players we have today are all here because of Miles.

Was at the UNC game watching his son play, which was in Tallahassee I believe when they won with a game winning field goal at the beginning of the LSU game. That being said, he prolly wasnt watching the tigers.

Miles was a victim of his own luck. He never changed the way he coached/called a game. But usually got so lucky that it didnt burn him so he never felt the need to improve. Clock management, alignment penalties, wasting timeouts, not getting plays called on time, never developing a passing game, etc. He was able to squeak out wins in spite of all these mistakes, and so he never learned to correct anything. By the time his luck ran out the last few years, his system was so ingrained in his mind that there was no changing.

If Miles had learned to just let his coaches coach, and just be a manager, like Coach O has admitted he learned after Ole Miss, he'd still be sweatin' with the tigers.

I thought about it for about one second during the game. Then I told myself it's time to stop living in the past. Offense looked great. Defense looked great. Miles is sitting on the couch and getting paid. Win-win-win.

Cameron is probably still in the fetal position under his bed. Hope he's okay.

Ya he be hired by LSU as an offensive consultant, just like the way ex drug addicts are used to lecture high school kids.

Cam did only what he was allowed to do

Same with Crowton and Stud

I have no doubt what we saw Saturday is what Les wanted to run all this time. He didn't allow his Coaches to do it for him because he was too scared of things going badly (think 2008 and Lee with all the pick 6s).

I almost wish Cam would have been allowed to stay on staff for one more game under CEO -- I would've been curious to see what Cam could have done without Les's finger on the offense and instead CEO telling him to open it up.

I doubt that CLM gets a new gig. Any team that saw the obvious difference between the same talent under two different coaching leads would be a fool to hire him.......UNLESS they were looking to build a competitive team but didn't have realistic expectations of NC's with great a great man at the helm. Think Vandy or Tulane would be a no brainer.

For years all of us amateurs here had to listen to the pumpers tell us how smart Miles is and how he knows so much more about football and his team than any of us could possibly understand. Well Saturday was just proof the guy didn't know shite about offense.
