There is no case for keeping Matt House at LSU. He might be a great guy, and I wish him all the best, but he'll have to figure it out somewhere else.
This was a playoff caliber team with even greater aspirations and we ended the season without a chance to compete for a championship because of the defense that he was responsible for. Case closed.

Zero interceptions!

I agree with everyone in here, and JD himself, in saying that we need to push the ball down the field. But let’s take a second to recognize that at this point in the season we are 4-1 and JD has thrown a total of ZERO interceptions. That’s above and beyond the expectations I initially had for him.

Now it’s time to open up the playbook and play a little ball. He has the ability to throw a great long ball and I thing good things are to come. Geaux Tigers!
Cupcake games vs Premiere matchups are always a double edge. If the team is ready and experienced then it can help us in the polls early in the season. That’s the formula I usually prefer. Get tested and come out ahead for a slingshot into the season.

Nuss is not that guy, yet

Really expected more discipline out of Nuss Saturday night. He pretty much did the same thing he did last year - didn’t take care of the ball and chunked it in the air. Hope he gets in the film room this week and gets some tough coaching. Kid has all the talent in the world but that pick 6 was inexcusable and didn’t display the growth that we would have expected to see after an offseason.
Because he’s not a bird or a horse - he’s a TIGER. How dumb can some people be?

1-We played competitive football in all our games? 2-The team showed much more discipline and cohesiveness than last year? 3-If the coaching showed up in a positive way all season? 4-If we see young guys step up and show us a glimpse of greatness to come?

I’m not sure, yet, that we’ll win 8 games - but if we do these 4 things this year I’ll consider it a successful season. Everybody wants to win every game but this is one year that I’ll give to the coaching staff to get their house in order. Next year and every year after I expect 9/10+ wins at a minimum also expect to be contending for playoff spots, SEC championships and National Championships. :geauxtigers:
I’m so ready for the pads to start hitting. This is by far the worst part of they year lol
Word from within Auburn is that Harsin hired his old OC/buddy when he fired his WR coach last year. A few days ago when the Austin Davis walked into an offensive meeting, Harsin’s old OC/Buddy was sitting at the head of the table and leading the meeting so Davis asked who was running the show here. Apparently he didn’t like the answer…

How did we go from hiring a HC to arguing about strawberries. Gunna be a wild day! :geauxtigers:
Does anyone have video of Coach O’s fishing trip this summer when he knocked on the door at the fishing camp?
1) Title IV
2) 8-8 Record (.500)
3) Co-ed distractions
4) Talking shite to opposing fans then getting his arse whooped.
5) Threat to put a fan in the bottom of the swamp
6) Staff hires; not interviewing candidates
7) No improvement from game to game
Someone needs to ask: “Where does the incompetence come from in getting plays into the offense? It looks like every other team in the nation can call plays, why cant we get this figured out?”
I love O and appreciate everything he has accomplished. However, he is now 8-7 since winning a National Championship and I believe 15 games is a long enough sample size.

To those still waiting for O to turn it around, I ask 2 questions:
1) How many games is enough of a sample size?
2) If you give him until the end of the year (which would be a 22 game sample size) what tangible improvements would you need to see within the team to justify another season (other than just winning because that won’t just happen by itself)?

I’m just curious why you would let this train wreck continue.

I think the real question will be: can we run the ball? If we can have success through the air like we've had all season and rush for 150 yards then we put ourselves in a position to control the game. :geauxtigers:

Its far too early in the morning to be smoking crack :banghead:
CM looks talented and physical against Mizzou. They'll show up to play.

CM Offense tries to create mismatches through motions out of heavy sets and is successful if the QB is not pressured. When in trouble, they will throw deep to the outside (shouldn't be a problem for us), but they mainly like crossing routes, outs and flats. Running game is stronger than you would expect and they were successful in draw plays on medium to long downs when Mizzou's defense was honoring motion in man coverage. Our defense should be able to contain, get pressure and wear them down as the game goes on. If we can get pressure on them early we will get great momentum and box them in on what they are capable of doing.

Defense runs a standard 4-3 with a lot of man coverage - pretty easy to read for a QB. Great opportunity for our offensive line & Max to get better and pick up on their delayed blitzes. They will send backside blitzes whenever possible, which can get them in trouble sometimes because of communication and ability in the secondary. Their DBs can't keep up with our WRs. Would be a great opportunity to spread it out a little bit, improve on the run game and also hit the RBs out of the backfield after spreading them out.

Great opportunity for the Tigers to put it all together before SEC play. :geauxtigers:
I only heard one legit question from a reporter in the post-game press conference and O got pissed. All other reporter questions had built-in excuses so he wouldn't get mad at them.

Questions was, "So, it sounds like you're saying UCLA was tougher than LSU tonight?"
O's response: "That's not what I'm saying."
