Well said. It's a shame college athletics has come to this point. Hopefully it will wake up the people who can stop this.

I always route for LSU no matter what.

The schools that are truly serious about winning big have been PISSING all over the rule book for decades.

It's high time we join them.

We’re glad you route for LSU. We wouldn’t want you to get lost on the road in Baton Rouge.

Pay for play is not amateur. Anyone still hanging onto that is delusional. It Is what it is. Don’t hate the player, as the saying goes.

The rule of declaring for the draft makes you ineligible is bullshite. They should be able to do like baseball. If they don’t like it they can go back to school. Fuq the NFL

Those baseball players dont go to training camp and play in preseason games 4 months after the draft
This is a fn joke and an embarrassment to the school

We’re playing within the rules. It would be malpractice to not push the envelope in this way if the goal is winning football games.
LSU is not creating a “terrible day”. We’re doing what we should do in the current climate.

You obviously don’t know the whole story. Every player is getting 5 years. The class of 2022 wasn’t allowed to get a 5th year. He wants his 5th year. It’ll be fine. He’s younger than any of the players on the Indiana team from last year.

He was told he was out of eligibility. Then after he gets drafted and goes to camp he’s told he has another year. He wasn’t given a chance to play another year until after the facts. How fair was it to deny him that year if his desire was to play another year of college ball if he is now eligible for it?

He’s taking a golf internship. Mows the grass and picks up balls once a week, if that part even happens

It is what it is.

If the NCAA allows players to transfer mid-game or permit 12 men on the field in overtime games, I’ll still be rooting for purple and gold.

Yeah the rules or lack thereof are out of control. And college football ratings will be higher this year than any. In 2026, Saturdays will be a lot more interesting and entertaining than Sundays for those who watch both brands.

Green is going to be split out more than on the line. Kiffin and crew have an up close and personal look at this team for nearly a month. They know what positions they need to upgrade.

I’ll still be in Tiger Stadium, I’ll still celebrate when this kid scores a TD or makes a big play. I’ll still enjoy every second of his time on the field. But this is a major blow to college athletics. A young man signed a pro contract, went through OTAs and, while he didn’t play, dressed for a professional pre-season game.

This is no longer amateur athletics. There is no more pride for the school you choose (ala JD1+4). It’s nothing but dollars and how much the schools can pay these kids. Nothing more.
