LSU doesn't have a lot of power, so they have to rely on stringing hits together. With several players slumping, it just leaves too many holes in the lineup to do that, especially with the arms they are facing now.

Really? I don't think you do... I'd reckon that everyone but Curiel hit close to their average this weekend (which is 2nd or 3rd best in the SEC)

We aren't slumping (maybe a tad).. just not finding holes.

someone doesn't know the difference between out of conference and in conference stats.

lol...is that what we have been calling the last several weeks? That's some mental gymnastics. There is no clutch on this team, and there has not been for quite some time....can it change? Maybe. Will it? Probably not.

they are not

SEC stats are wildly different

Frey still has better stats

Does he?

Same number of ABs, fewer HRs and half the RBIs.

We are really weak in situational hitting. We are not hitting with RISP. Man on 3rd with less than 2 outs and he stays there. Plus on my opinion we are playing too much small ball

LSU has the 4th fewest strikeout total in the SEC for all games.

That’s actually astonishing. Because LSU Ks a frick ton. Apparently pitching is getting even more elite across the board in this conference. As if it wasn’t already hard enough

It’s alarming to me that just about any left handed pitcher can shut us down. A&M’s lefties were nothing special. 88-91 with a change up seems to be all that is required for us to struggle.

Doyle from TEN and Piko from MS State are 1 thing. Totally different. And I feel like we took better ABs against those guys.

Very frustrating. I faced upper 80s all the time in high school.

Why was Milam not pinch hit for in game 3 in 9th. He is in a slump and was left in to bat. It was perfect opportunity to get a new bat in the game.

hitting slumps

I dont think we have a hitting slump issue as much of a discipline issue. We've got to get back to being patient at the plate and stop trying to murder everything

ive told many of folks... SEC arms are big time arms.. guys are going to struggle.. you're not going to hit those arms consistently .. gotta go for the big hit...

the hitting will get better. We are playing in the toughest conference and still nationally ranked between 3rd and 6th. I will take the slump now and get hot for post season. I have seen almost every team struggle offensively at some point this season.
