With a slight challenge from only Kentucky and Tennessee.

If we keep this chemistry going we will contend!

If we can beat Miss. St, and Florida on the road I think we have a real shot.

I think it really all comes down to how Waters plays. When he was struggling early on in the season, this team wasn't looking too good. As soon as he started clicking again, the team started on this run.

Of course, this team has many players which can contribute to its success. It's a fairly deep team. However, I believe as he goes, we will go.

@Bama will be tougher than @UF, IMO.

Our lack of defensive effort vs UGA is disturbing. We need to play D like we did vs Carolina and Ole Miss.

I do see us in the top 4 in the SEC come March 10, but we need better and more consistent D to win it.

Wade can play certain lineups whenever we need to play great D against certain teams. Tonight was concerning because they didn’t even try it to contest shots at times. It’s like they knew they could outscore them no matter what.

If we had wayde sims we very well could only have 1 loss. I firmly believe that. He wasn’t a GREAT offensive option but he played good D and hustled his arse off.

"Slight challenge"? I'm an optimistic person, but this isn't a slight challenge from these two teams.

I love this team. We are willing because of different players. Some night it’s KBW, other nights it’s Naz, then when both struggle Williams steps up. And when waters struggles it seems like Mays and Smart step up. We have multiple ways to win but few ways to get the L. We should lose no more than 4 SEC games

I was listening to Tim Fletcher this AM (usually don't because he's annoying) and he was talking Tigers BB. LSU is 5-0 in the SEC for only the 3rd time in the last 50 years. The other 2 times were 1981 and 2006. Both seasons LSU won the SEC and went to the final 4.

Just finish in the top 4 and get the double bye, that is all that matters. The regular season conference championship is meaningless.

I think when thy saw the stat that GA shoots around 26% from three they basically depended on that instead of playing D. They probably felt that they coudn't keep that shooting % in the game up. Not smart. Sometimes teams shoot above their avg. whic GA did last night.

I do think we can win, but its more that a slight challenge, we have to go into Rupp, and face the number 1 team in the country. Also, a very tough game ahead against Miss State. It's going to be an awesome February for LSU Basketball!

People here were cheering for UT last night against Vanderbilt cuz they wanted them to stay #1 until we play them. F that! I want to win the SEC and we aren’t going to go undefeated. We’ll need some help from UT and UK but I’m confident we can hang with those guys on the court. We should get a great head start in the SEC at 18-3 (8-0) at least. Hopefully we get some leeway with some upsets over UT and UK along the way

5 toughest games left are

At state
Auburn at home
At UK
Tenn at home
At florida

Eta: at bama is probably tougher than home against Auburn, I forgot about it.

We will win something out of those 5 games and we probably lose a game or two that I do not have listed. I would actually put the over under right now at 13 and 5 which I think anyone on here would have been glad to take when the season started. We have 2 games that could get us on the national stage @UK and Tenn at home. The other 3 I listed are all more winnable but tough games.

Meaningless to who? Currently we're tied for 2nd with Tennessee in all-time SEC championships. I don't want to fall to 3rd all-time.

Unless you HAVE to win it to get in the NCAAT, the SECT is virtually meaningless. In fact, the last time LSU was a top 4 seed in the SECT they MISSED the NCAAT

I wouldn't go that far. No, a regular season conf. championship doesn't grant you an auto-bid. But if you win a power conf. reg season title, it likely means you are pretty damn good and that will translate to a high seed.

The reg. season conference title is meaningless for mid-major one bid leagues, not a league like the SEC.

If LSU wins the SEC this year that likely means the won at least 13 games in conf. play (probably need more than that). That would probably assure LSU of at least a 4 seed in light of the fact that the SEC has some tough teams.

We will be favored in the next 3 but no matter who we are playing it's tough to win on the road in the SEC. Road teams were 1-6 this week in the SEC and the one win was by Tenn, who needed OT to beat Vandy.

The Tigers need to be ready to play on Saturday at Mizzou.

I agree. Especially if Nazr stops trying to draw charges under the basket.
