Thank you! We had 12 years to see what he was all about. I understand before he coached a game at LSU you all were optimistic, and rightly so.

Not sure why everyone is so in love with this guy all of a sudden.
He’s the same age as BK and basically has had the same career. Hell BK might actually have more skins on the wall.
Neither have shown they can win when it matters.

This hasn't been the issue. He has often gone for TDs when we feel he should be taking the 3 points (see all game openers since he has been here where overly aggressive decisions have come back to bite us). And see the Bama 2022 game when he went for the W instead of the tie/OT and most people were shitting their pants. Of course, that one ended with an awesome outcome.
He turned the program back into a consistent winner fast, but his issues have been dumb personnel and coaching decisions during games. Our O-line has been undisciplined the whole year (and he is an O-line guy). We are slow to make adjustments that should be obvious at times and get beat by double digits more than we should.
It has been different than I expected. I was more worried about him being conservative. Not always the case at all. Sometimes quite the opposite with less than stellar decisions. I was expecting more common sense and discipline. Nope.
He won't get past that 10-win ceiling if he doesn't use more common sense and change some things when playing in the SEC.

This guy takes the opening kickoff wvery chance he can get. He goes for 4th downs more than I’m comfortable with. He has flaws no doubt. But he seems more of a loose cannon than someone who coaches to not lose.

He’s barely in his 3rd year of recruiting and many freshman are playing now. This roster looks more like a ND roster than anything lsu had prior to 2020 when Ed let it fall apart.

It’s not like 1 game changes everything. If he would’ve beaten Bama on Saturday, a good majority of posters here would still be predicting a natty. Ya lose one game & they lose all hope
