Horshit....this class fills needs. Miles was notorious for having high ranked classes that failed to meet needs. Made me fn crazy

Regarding "Fairy Tale": Just keep your head in the Sand:
Herman, Meyer, Richt, Smart, Malzahn, Saban, Sweeney, Fisher, Mullen and others are not lurking.
LSU faced a Top 5 SOS in 2015 and Miles landed the #2 Recruiting Class for 2016 (why he was retained).
2017 was an historically low 42 SOS, + or - depending what service calculated it and whether you take into account SORecord and SOResume.
Next year is going to be an SOS equal to 2011 and that is going to test Alleva's/Orgeron's survival skills.
So don't worry with an Offense ranked 71st this year vs Miles' 43rd in 2015 (without the cupcake McNeese game)...
what could possibly go wrong?
With a recruiting class currently ranked 12th with 19 commits vs Texas ranked 2nd with 18 commits watch out for Jimbo, Mullen, and Chad Morris.
Orgeron will not likely land a Top 10 Class. Just look at the Rankings, there are 5 teams right behind us with far fewer recruits -one recruit will push them past LSU, and teams ahead with fewer recruits.

I couldn't agree with you more, as O has always been known for being the best recruiter in college football. He has also coached a ton of first round draft choices also. Not to mention, he proved to be the best interim coach in NCAA history, and did a better than adequate job in his first season as the head coach at LSU. There isn't a harder worker anywhere in the country than coach O.

And finally it's not because of his age, so stop with the lame excuse. In fact, Herm Edwards was hired at Arizona State at the same age of Miles despite the fact he has been outside the coaching game for years and has never ever coached college football.

We had a coach that lacked, roster management, game planning, he didn't even play the best players. Miles is a average coach. IF he was as good as some folks on this board make him out to be, he would have 1 of these many coaching jobs available.

Right now he has done what he set out to do IRT recruiting:
Last year - Gain KEY transfers that will make an impact - Fehoko, Moss, and Giles - all bring experience, will start, and/or be key contributors next season.
This year - Gain KEY JUCO recruits who arrive ready to play/compete and/or provide quality depth on day 1 - Traore (#1 JUCO OT), Lewis (#2 JUCO OG), and Moore (#1 Weakside DE).
Added an overall class last season that he picked up as interim and then HC, and finished strong. Four FR ALL-SEC. Delpit should have been on the squad and you can make a strong case for Ingram too. Add this year's class which should end up in the top 6-10, maybe higher. Already has a jump on 2019 with 6 verbals, and a #5 ranking.
What's not to like?
