Well you're the one that made it a talking point.

Really 2014 was the only real non-10 win season during that stretch you could completely attribute to Les. he won 10 or more in 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2015 if you include the canceled rent-a-win. That wasn't his fault so I don't know why you'd count it against him.

But I know it fits your narrative better if you just say 2012 was the last time we won 10 games. Add a lie and fail to acknowledge the canceled rent-a-win and you're there. Rant logic at its finest.

Are you confident our football program is better now than it was before we replaced our head coach? If so why? ... Because of the win against auburn?

... And I still don't understand why 10 wins is some sort of magic number. Didn't get it when Miles was coach. Don't get it now. Apparently you can get 10 wins a session and still be completely irrelevant. Hell, the fact that one game getting cancelled against a scrub rent-a-win makes the difference just goes to show how pointless it is.

. Very good? I don’t know we beat Auburn when they fell asleep and beat up on some really bad teams. I don’t know how good they really are.

I really feel this season was a push. Very disappointing early season, nice stretch of wins with a big game vs Auburn, hard fought but still loss to Bama and a good, not great bowl.

If O can have a successful 2018 I will be extremely impressed. There will be no "SEC down year talk" with the supposed big league hires in the SEC. LSU faces 2/4 playoff teams in Georgia and Bama, @Auburn and Top 10 Miami.

With a new QB, replacing the 2 starting RBs and 2 top WRs 2018 will be a formidable challenge. The margin for error is going to be razor thin.

I'm still skeptical that O can get LSU to the next level, but if he does well next season he deserves a lot of credit.

how can it get worse than a historic msu loss and losing to a mid major with zero top 95 classes since 2013? the lsu coach IS SUPPOSED TO not let team quit.

I think Jimbo and pre-season #3 FSU can answer that question.

The program isn’t any worse off imo and I need more time to make that judgment, as do all of you. He hasn’t even finished a full season as HC for Christ’s sake. O is 16-5 since he took over....Even with QB’s at his disposal that weren’t considered very good. If he lands a top QB, I think he can have us rolling. Watch us get to 10 this year, and 11 the next. I’m excited about where things are headed.

Well that other guy was the one that wanted to make it a big deal. Just showing him that it was a benchmark attained with regularity here, even right up until Miles was let go.

except its been proven that this season is the outlier for jimbo.

Ed Orgeron winning, for now, is the outlier. this is the 1st time he has ever won more than 2 conf games in a season.

good heavens *gasp* why?

Coach O is the default position for everything wrong with the current state of LSU football. Give me Herman, or Fisher, or Mullen, even Applewhite or Chip Kelly any day over Coach O. Sheesh.

I agree, Jimbo has an elite resume. I've said as much on another thread. That doesn't discount the fact that this year, when the season could have gone in the dumpster LSU and O got back on track. Jimbo phoned it in.

How long before Jimbo gets tired of his shiny new toy in College Station? IDK.

We don't know how Jimbo will do in the SEC as a HC. Bielema was a 3 time Big Ten champ with 7 bowls in 7 seasons at Wisconsisn. How'd that Arky job work out for him?

You do realize the class isn't done yet don't you? We just moved up to 12 after a commit from the #1 JUCO OT and that was right after Tom Herman tried to pull him away.

Apparently it won’t because O supporters will be ready to make any excuse to defend him.

If O goes 9-3 next year that actually would be a success.

That's the thing. I'm not giving O an out if the season does not go well, but an honest assessment is that 2018 will be extremely tough given schedule and offensive player turnover. I think the D will actually be better right out the gate so hopefully they can give the offense some time to get settled.

9-3 may be realistic, but I will be disappointed if we don't reach at least 10 regular season wins. No pressure O. Make it happen.
