Y'all say this but what has O done so far? His reputation hasn't translated to results.

You (we) just need to give o time, maybe 3 or4 years. If Ole Miss hadn't of unjustly fired o after 3 solid years of results, he would have started winning big and would probably still be there today, dominating the SEC and all of college football.

If you don't believe me, browse thru SpaceClownboys post history. he spells it all out about what a catch Coach o is. TigerRee is also a good source of useful information on all the positives o brings to the table.

Exciting times ahead for us all friend!

Keep telling yourself that lie. A top 15 class is a top 15 class, that's it. It's not as good as a top 5 or top 10 class no matter how you spin it.

23 sounds so much better. Just like saying 2012 was Miles last ten win season. You gotta know when and where to fudge some of the numbers to make your stance look better.

Mark Richt got fired from UGA for going 10-3.
LSU needs O more than ever after going 9-3.

hat doesn't discount the fact that this year, when the season could have gone in the dumpster LSU and O got back on track. Jimbo phoned it in.

and ive repeatedly said i give O credit for wins after troy but that doesnt mean he has proven he can or will be a successful coach.

If O can have a successful 2018 I will be extremely impressed. There will be no "SEC down year talk" with the supposed big league hires in the SEC. LSU faces 2/4 playoff teams in Georgia and Bama, @Auburn and Top 10 Miami.

agreed

at face value id say its a push but if we dont have the early season bad losses we couldve made the playoffs. but hey that can be said of every season with losses.

id probably rank the season a slight disappointment because of who we lost to but you could make a case for it being decent once we win our bowl game.

it was more than that. he hadnt won a sec title in a decade and in the last 5 years had a losing season. he also hadnt won the shite east in 3 years.

You're not going to find an argument from me on this. I think anyone who honestly looks at the first part of the season knows there were miscalculations on the part of the HC. It is no secret there was a lax, almost arrogant attitude floating around the team that contributed to some of the problems. That's on O. There was also a combination of injuries, new starters and a new OC that factor in a as well. It's multiple variables.

The challenge for O is to be focused and consistent. He may be capable of getting a team ready for A GAME, but to sustain the preparation and intensity over the course of a season or seasons is the challenge. It's also dealing with situations when injuries and crises occur that affect the program.

Nothing is proven yet.

Threads like this are frustrating b/c the OP simply begs the question of what we hired Orgeron to do.
There is good reason to support the belief of many fans that Da Coach O was hired to recruit, motivate and then stay out of the way of the two, highly- paid coordinators.
So, with all these new coaches, do we need O to stay out the (real) coaches way "more than ever"?
Or does the post mean that Orgeron is the actual brain trust of the coaching staff?

Yeah. Who would want a top tier coach?
Our fan base is the dumbest in the nation.

I sometimes think that SpaceClownboy is just aimlessly floating thru space without radio contact with earth. Every now and then he gets a little bit of a signal and maybe catches bits and pieces of a radio transmission and forms his opinions on the small bit of info he receives.

Then he transmits his message back to earth and of course, we never get the whole message. The stuff that comes in is what we read here on the rant. Just a lot of jibberish.

That's the only logical conclusion for the shite he posts.

The current Recruiting Class is #12 with 19 commits...Texas is #2 with 18 commits. With the early signing period fast approaching the Coaching Carousel is bringing in Top Coaches and Recruiters to the SECW and SEC.

There is not much room to move up and the 13th-30th teams are not as separated as the Top 11 teams. Expectations are justifiably conservative. The last time Orgeron played a Top 100 Recruiter role was in helping Miles land the 2016 Class, the best in years, and why the BOS and Alleva did not fire him before NSD.

In addition to those Coaches mentioned Taggert to FSU and Pruitt to Tenn are elite recruiters.

Miles brought in the #2 Class in 2016

The operative word in the sentence above is MILES. He knew how to finish with recruiting. Go look back at the work he did in Cali for The Buffs.

Y’all think it was all O. We know.

He is going to fail miserably and the team will suffer to the point this experiment ends in 2019.
