I really do. Blake Baker would have the team just as motivated and he'd relish in the opportunity to lead them in that environment. The team is pissed and feels disrespected by the entire SEC. Plus, I guarantee Lane is going over this exact possibility with Blake or whoever would be selected to be interim during a suspension to ensure that every possible scenario is covered the way he would want.

Stop accepting and perpetuating the "suspension is inevitable" narrative. It is not.
LSU's position should remain "We have done nothing wrong and have complied with the SEC's rules. We will accept no form of punishment."

I think we beat them even worse if he's suspended. Players will be out for blood. Make CWJ the interim HC and turn Baker's defense loose.

I don't think the Louisiana judge would take kindly to Lane being suspended, and the alabama case was continued so the SEC can't get relief or protection there. all that adds up to Lane not being suspended.

Deserve has nothing to do with it at this point. It’s Kiffin and he made the SEC look bad. There is absolutely a contingent in the SEC that is going to push hard for suspension and that’s why they’re framing this as an institutional control issue. They’ll call it a pattern— even though it’s largely based on speculation.
In the end, it will all depend on how the other member institutions view it, and if they think it’s worth escalating the situation yet again. Even if they did decide that was the route they want to go, how LSU would handles that is a large unknown here. Do we shout about selective enforcement and fight the suspension? I don’t really think that situation benefits anyone in the equation, but I guess we shall see.
