Yes, he needs to push the ball downfield and has a tendency (so far) to take off after his first couple reads.

Didn't Jayden have this tendency his first year at LSU?

He’s going to get better, but we need him to be able to sit in the pocket and go through a few options and make a good throw downfield.

I guess, but his running ability is one of this biggest strengths. He needs to utilize that too

Jayden's 1st season with LSU was a little tentative passing, turnovers were not an issue. Jayden was always good running the ball and did a great job while at LSU not throwing interceptions

2 games into the season and very possible we can eliminate the int's, coach's will know what to do and adjust.

He is also coming off a nasty injury and not playing for an extended period of time.

I think this is the thing to key on if you’re an optimist. Jayden Daniels was similar his first year. It took him that full season and off season to be comfortable letting it go.

Not saying our OL is the worst, but I'm glad we have a QB that can bail out poor line play.

I think our line is far from poor. The pass blocking has looked fairly good so far. Defenses don’t give a lot of clean pockets anymore. They send numbers, stunt and overload. No line is going to go a whole game without giving up some pressures. Today’s QBs and OCs have to deal with it and punish the defenses for the pressure they generate.

Sometimes I wonder if some fans follow college football at all.A QB who’s only been in the system and practicing for a month is expected to be all world right away.I what world do you live. You could probably name on 1 hand the QBs who have done that. One stupid poster even brought up the possibility of starting Landon.WTF IS WRONG WITH FANS.If LK feels SL is the best they have don’t you have faith in him.Isnt Lane one of the best Offensive minds in football.

Did you mean to ask…

In what world do they live?

…because my post basically made the same point you did.

When they can pull the ball down and run like a scalded cat … they probably cheat on going thru progressions ! Leavitt will get there , he has a great coach !
