Sacked 96 times, 23 this year alone, 8td, 7ints, the stats you left out. All his big games were with USF who plays hotdog water teams.

All I see is TIGER BAIT! No reason we shouldn’t get the W and make a statement for out first road game win.

so they are losing 5 to 6 games a year, and it looks like this year is the same.

They are losing close games and look like they may do a little better this year. So 4 or 5?

Last season, 6 in they were 3-3, 1-3 vs P4 teams, 0-3 vs SEC teams (0- 4 vs SEC teams for the first 4 games)

This season, 6 games in, they are 3-2 vs P4 Teams, 2-2 vs SEC teams.

Auburn plays LSU, Bama and Georgia tough. I don’t expect this year to be different.

That is not even remotely true.

They have two losses: a 10-point loss to Tennessee in Knoxville and a 5-point loss to Florida.

From my perspective it is true. They struggled and were fortunate to beat a mediocre Baylor team that just lost 17-6 to TCU, they beat Vandy in a pillow fight.....Tennessee beat Arkansas by less than they beat Auburn, and they scored a late oh by the way TD against Florida, the game really was not that close and their only other game was a win over a Southern Miss team that just lost by 10 to Arkansas St.

From what I've seen nothing in that resume gave me any thought that they were an upper tier SEC school and had a chance to beat Georgia in Athens.

But I'm certainly glad they did. But it now has me mildly worried as we have sucked mightily and underachieved on the road this year.

A team with a lot of transfers coming off of a bye and UGA was limping into their bye this week. Smart talked about how best to shite they were.

Yeah, alot of coaches are whining about injuries right now

This is the NIL/portal era - guys who are not playing go where they can play, so quality depth and experience are not what they were for the bigger name teams, all teams really, so coaching becomes that much more important.

Have to come and play. Similar to the Kentucky game. They are a good team that executes their plan very well. Have to play very well to beat them. You can't just expect a hangover. Tough to win in this league especially this year.

They play unevenly; from what I have seen, they did under Freeze as well. They have talent but still have some talent gaps. I think they are in the process of trying to change the culture, which is typical under a new coach.

So they are one of those teams, to me, that are right on the edge, struggling to fill those talent gaps with competent players and trying to get continuous buy-in to a new locker room philosophy. All of that makes them susceptible to getting blown out, but also makes them dangerous.

Then beating Georgia in Athens was unexpected, but I think it says something about the current NCAA situation and how it limits teams like Georgia's ability to stack talent like they could in the past.

For Auburn, if that win can gel the team around the culture Golesh is trying to develop(whatever it is, I don't even know if I'm right about that), it will certainly make them more formidable. If it does not, then a hangover seems much more likely.

I take nothing for granted nowadays. I do think LSU can win this game, but they sure can lose it, too.

Lot of emotion that game yesterday....very very difficult to keep that going two weeks in a row. Time will tell. I also don't like the fact that LSU play Alabama, Texas, and Tenn, back to back to back. Even if we hold serve at home against Bama and Texas, it will be hard to win that third game at Tenn. JMO.

It's going to be hard to win the three before that.

From my perspective outside of the Georgia win I think they've played mostly poorly. In my view you are slightly overselling their Florida and Tennessee performances as I observed them. I think most would say performance-wise they were without question bottom fourth of the conference.

But I'm certainly glad they beat Georgia I just thought it was very surprising given what I'd seen of them otherwise and it certainly gives me pause considering our road struggles this year. I don't think there as good as Kentucky or Ole Miss but they have a QB who can run.....and Baker struggles with those.

I think that is fair, particularly taking their season as a whole.

I guess I just see enough there to worry that our team (or any team) may take them lightly and give them an opening. Need to knock any wind out of their sails early and not take our foot off their neck until the game is over.

I certainly do agree with this. It was surprising. I didn't go into the weekend thinking they would do it, or really even that they would be very competitive. But I did not think there was 0 chance, especially with that effectively being a hangover game for Georgia; I honestly gave it very little thought.
