Sooooo win a game against a top ten team and fire the coach. Yup - makes sense to some.

I’ve been banging the table to fire O as well- but these 2 wins deserve some credit and also deserve to take SOME of the pressure off of him. Alleva I could care less about, he needs to be fired

Wisconsin and Auburn were the last nails in Miles coffin. Both L's were last drive losses.

O lost to Troy and was blown out by MS ST.
If we're holding people to the same standards...

For the record, I'm not advocating O's removal, but LSU is now farther from championship level football.
I was against Miles firing because I didn't see a better realistic candidate to replace him. In my opinion, you fire someone to improve the position and not for the sake of change.
The AD should have had a strategy. I'm now certain Alleva's strategy was - Here's our opportunity to get rid of Miles, let's get him out before the team improves. We'll figure everything out at the end of the season.
His hope that everything would fall in place was not a strategy.

Alleva needs to go. Alexander should follow him. But I've said that for the last several years...

I've been on the fire Orgeron train since the Mississippi State loss but I'll be cutting him some slack after that win and the way the team fought back in the second half yesterday. That was a gutsy performance and props to him and the other coaches for making the proper adjustments to put the players in position to win the game. If he keeps it going and only has three losses this year then he's earned his place and that's even with the loss to Troy because the team will have improved tremendously since the the two early losses.

Alleva on the other hand, he can frick off and when he gets there he can frick off again.

Yeah a lot of LSU fans have become too impatient. Damn this is O's first year as the HC. Not too mention he has got Dave Aranda, one of the best DC's in the game when he doesn't have several players injured. And look at Matt Canada, I think he is an offensive genius. Look at what he did,

1. His offensive mentality of destroying our opponents will eventually find common ground, where LSU Offense truly has blance.
2. He called the end of the game perfectly. CLM would have screwed it up.
3. Lately we have had half Guice. In the last 2-3 games he had plenty of playing time in the first half, and by the 3rd quarter or mid-end of the 3rd Guice was done, because of one of those nagging injuries.
Matt Canada and the coaching staff limited his play in the 1st half and most of the 3rd quarter. By that time, Auburn's D was tired and what does Matt C. do, bring in a not 100% but at least a fresh RB, Guice of course, and the O-Line pushed that tired Auburn D back and Guice our fresh RB came out and closed the game out by getting chunks of yards that led to first downs and got us into field goal range twice taking time off the clock.

Matt did an awesome job, and Aranda, well I wouldn't want to be the team that scores 20 quick points against LSU then let an ice in his veins DC like Aranda to have halftime to plan the opposing teams total destruction. And notice unlike our old D coordinator (John suck arse Chavis), He (Chavis) would have held the opposing team to almost negative passing yards in the entire 2nd half only to have the opposing team complete every pass only the final drive of the game with time running out, and score a touchdown to beat us. Sound familiar, yes I am talking about the Bama-LSU game in Death Valley where we were ahead 17-14. Chavis was aggressive the entire 2nd half only to puss out on the final drive and allow them to march down the field and score a TD.

BTW let me include a note: Starting this year I no longer talk about Bama or look ahead to that game and to a lot of LSU fans the only game that matters. It's a good thing Coach O has kept our players focused, but on the current or next game. So right now I am only thinking about the next game, Ole Miss. Can't overlook any SEC game on the road. However, if we play even tougher Defensively, and Offensively the field should be wide open with Ole Miss unable to stop the run, opening up play action and I think Matt C. will have a field day with Ole Miss and finally get to show off his OC game plan and skills. I think we will score lots of points and hold Ole Miss to very few points.

I think we can all agree Alleva still needs to be canned

As far as O, these last two weeks alleviated some pressure, lets see how he finishes the season first.

Alleva needs to go now. I’m for letting O decide his own fate.
