Ole Miss last won an SEC championship (football) in 1963.
51 years ago. They have never made an appearance in the SEC conference championship series (b.1992).
This year might be their Halley's Comet year. Might be another 10 or 15 years before they are relevant again.
Mississippi State has only played once for the SEC championship since 1992.

Nah. Ole Miss comes in at a distant 3rd for me behind Bama and Auburn. Would swap an ole miss win for a Bama win no contest.

Me too. TAMU was ahead of OM the last few years, even. FL used to be above them, but they're sort of hanging in mid air right now. Never have hated OM. BAMA has and probably always will be #1 for me. I want to beat them above anyone else.
OM is just sort of there. The hotty toddy thing is mildly annoying and sort of girlie. They're bears now instead of rebels, so that took more wind from the sails. The grove was too stuffy and packed into a small area for my taste. They're sort of meh in my book of teams I dislike and I have no problem rooting for them when it doesn't affect us. I wanted them to beat Bama and it made my week to see it happen. In fact, I'm still enjoying it.

i've got a lot of great friends who go there. I love their campus, and I always have a great time in Oxford
The only thing that bothers me is some of their false sense of superiority when stacking up to LSU. The two schools are a lot more similar than they want to believe.

Honestly thats possibly the biggest thing im looking forward to for this season. Having Ole Miss come in on their best season run and upset them and end it. That will make up for the memories of the clock issue spike it game. Last year building up to a huge game with Bama then their team missing like 9 starters beating us. For once id love for LSU to be that spoiler team.

The thing that makes OM fans so unbearable is that none of them know how to act like self-respecting sports fans when they win. It's like a bunch of hyped up soccer moms endlessly posting pics on Facebook.

Don't get me wrong; I think Bama fans are arrogant, too. The difference is their program has earned it. The arrogance is a little different between the two. Bama fans are so wrapped up in football, their arrogance is really only football related. Ole Miss, on the other hand, their arrogance is an all encompassing "our shite doesn't stink" arrogance that penetrates all aspects of life; they are arrogant and snooty, and think they're God's gift to everyone and everything not just in football. Add to that their program has won absolutely nothing in my lifetime, yeah...they're worse than Bama fans.

I went to the game last year in oxford, unfortunately (first time). I've been to almost every sec venue to watch LSU and the level of hate Ole Miss fans (mostly older) had for LSU was on a level I've never seen before. When they won the game with the last second field goal, the entire Ole Miss club section dumped their drinks on the LSU section below.

I was referring to being around the Ole Miss fans. Alot more LSU brothers and sisters the further south you go.
And I mean the majority of my life except my 3 years at LSU.
