That was not my experience growing up. LSU was a baseball school in the 90s. I got picked on by State and Ole Miss fans for liking LSU during football season.
My freshman year at LSU was in 2003, and then suddenly the coast exploded with bandwagon fans after they won the championship. Honestly, I felt pretty annoyed by that.

My first LSU game around 1972, saw LOTs of Rebel Yell whiskey bottles, rebel flags and first time to see grown men fist fighting. I did not like ole missus then, do not like them to this day. LSU fans chanting "Go to hell ole miss, go to hell" coming down the ramps inside Tiger Stadium. I do not like losing any game, but when we lose to ole piss, it takes 3 or 4 days for me to realign...(Hate 'em)

I hate Ole Miss to. Living on the Ms Gulf Coast it isn't that bad, but when I live in Central Ms it was awful.

I have maintained that Ole Miss is our true rival and that it would become abundantly evident how insufferable they can be when given the opportunity to crow and lord it over us.
This is as classless a fanbase as you will ever encounter when they are on top. Think of Louisiana Lafayette and multiple by a thousand.

Same here. I can't think of an opponent that I would always pull against other than Bama. I had no trouble pulling for Ole Miss versus Bama and I'm old enough to remember the Archie Manning years at Ole Miss (although I was about 5 at the time). Still, I wish I could be there next week during Ole Miss game week to see if it captures the intensity from the late 60's early 70's.

Well, it's really no surprise that all of these LSU fans dislike Ol' Missus. Other than Tulane, Mississippi is and always has been their biggest rival.

I am new here working in Jackson. Talk radio is nothing but Ms St. and Ole Miss. Talking down about LSU saying we can't come in here to get players anymore.. (umm... Devin Voorhies. Hello!) Saying Ms St. getting all those stars from instate... (umm...Dak Prescott of Louisiana? ?? Hello!)
