Like I said way back, there isn’t a coach alive the Rant will approve of.

Well, if Saban did it then never mind! He does everything right.

It’s how it works.

Not his fault timing doesn’t doesn’t match your ethical standards.

I do...especially if it benefits LSU.

So, you’re fine with the way this goes down? Nothing about it seems unethical to you? Leaving your team in a playoff run? I’m sure you’d support it if it was LSU’s Coach leaving under the same circumstances, right?

Do you think college sports has ever been a study in moral ethics?

Please say no.

The nature of recruiting forces this. Big programs sacrifice too much by not having shite done before the season is.

I dont know for sure because im to lazy to look it up but I think Saban and Meyer are the only two coaches in the last 30 years or so to leave a head coaching job to take another head coaching job at a different university and go on to win the Championship. Saban did it when he left Michigan State and went to LSU. Meyer did it when he left Utah and went to Florida. I would have counted when Meyer went to Ohio State but he actually retired from Florida and took a year off. So its not good odds Kiffin wins at LSU if he becomes the head coach.

So you’ll never quit a job, no matter how much better of a situation another employer offers you?

Respect his decision. Just like the players and recruits want fans to do.

He did at Notre Dame. They were headed to the playoffs and he quit.

If Lane is dumping Ole Miss now in the middle of a playoff run, what makes anyone think he wouldn’t dump LSU in the same situation if the NFL came calling?

Not saying he would not be a good choice.

NFL isn’t paying the amount of money LSU will. Only college jobs he would likely leave LSU for would be Oregon, Ohio State, or Bama lol
