No, you’re just screaming into a cloud.

There’s more talent in college baseball today than there was 30 years ago, especially in the SEC. I’m sorry that hurts your feelings. And I saw Walker play in person 35-40 times.

He was one of the purest hitters I’ve ever played with, to all fields. He was SS in HS but went to 2B or DH in the bigs for a reason.

Crews is the best college baseball player I’ve ever seen. In any uniform.

Crews is the best non-pitching baseball prospect that LSU has ever had

If I had to start a team with one non-pitcher I would take Bregman over Crews. They were both great offensively. Bregman was severely handicapped with the dead bats. Even so, I would take Crews’ offense over Bregman, but Bregman was a defensive player to build an infield around. Todd Walker is another great one to consider.

Yes the disrespect for older players is retarded.
Saying someone isn’t a 5 tool player isn’t disrespect. Walker wasn’t a 5 tool player but is still the goat. I’m not sure why some of you can’t comprehend both of those things can be true.

yeah, just because your daddy took you to the games and you played cup ball behind the bleachers, doesn’t mean you “saw him” or could comprehend anything you saw.

Do you think these guys that Vandy is rolling out there actually good? I mean none of them are MLB quality. Yes maybe overall there is better talent, but Walker did it in every fricking way consistently even as the “talent level” got more difficult in Omaha.
OM has 1 decent pitcher.

The issue is you were not going to “shift Walker”. He would drop a bunt down on you. Or inside out you. It is just ridiculous to say a CAREER .280 MLB hitter wouldn’t knock the shite out of these pitchers today.

You know what’s funny about this game… pitching has not gotten any faster by the same amount as you’ve seen in any other sport. Why is that?

The frick is going on in here.

Walker the goat. Period.

Crews can catch him. He’s barely past halfway through his career here which is unreal.

I guess you never saw Bo Jackson, Frank Thomas, Will Clark, Rafael Palmeiro, Lance Berkman, Brad Wilkerson, Robin Ventura…to name a few

I called Walker the goat but also noted he wasn’t a 5 tool player and that he didn’t face the same quality of pitching Crews has.

Then someone said he had plus speed because he ran him down in a football game and someone else said Crews isn’t facing better pitching because Nolan Ryan could throw the ball over a mountain or something.

Walker wasn’t slow but he wasn’t fast either. I wouldn’t call it a plus tool but he wasn’t a negative either. As far as pitching, that’s hilarious. The change in bats, the pitchers throwing hard with more movement, the pitchers who end up in college… it’s a million times better. The hitting is too but that’s more nuanced.

Bregman is not even in the same stratosphere as Walker and Crews.

Bergman is a better pro player than Walker. Growing up Eddy Furniss was my guy along with Brandon Larson. Bergman has had the best pro career out of all of them.

It's a joke that he has to go back to college for another year.

I am ok with this argument for football and basketball but not for baseball. Almost every player that comes to LSU gets drafted out of high school. When they choose to go to college over the MLB they know exactly how long they have to be there before they get another chance to go pro. No reason to feel sorry for them.

First off I’m replying to someone saying the pitching in the 90s wasn’t good and I never said a word about him being a gold glover so I think you are the one who can’t comprehend because I’m not even referring to a comment about 5 tool anything

40 career errors in a 12 year career. That’s less than 4 errors a year. at 2b. Turning double plays. I’ll take that all day long good sir.
