Downvote all you want but if LSU wasn't the benefactor of 2 timely PI calls. That fake punt is what everyone is bitching about today. It was a bad decision win or lose.

Defense didnt hold up. AU scored a TD on that drive as a result of the missed fake.

ZVR

Needs to quit leading his receivers so much and learn to throw his receivers open.

Even though it failed, it sent the message to future opponents, no holes barred for LSU Bengal Tigers.

unlike miles late in his tenure we seem to be trying to win

LSu wins a big game. Lets take a shot at the former coach on a failed fake punt attempt in the 2nd half by the newer coach.

Pure Class.

On a different note, what was #45 doing on the fake punt?

He didn’t slow up, the punter made a horrible attempt at a jump Pass, it was all on him. All he had to do was toss it, instead he did a retard version of Tebow.

If ZVR leads him towards flat, it’s a 30 yard completion.

I liked the call, and if not for the two Aubies on FM and losing his stride/balance, I think he makes that catch.

Hope ZVR gets another shot later this year.

I had a feeling something was on before the punt. Awesome play with the fake down the middle, don't think I've ever seen one like that. But thought punting and having them deep we might get a big turnover. Oh well I guess some of ole Les rubbed off on O.

I had that feeling too, but when I saw Auburn in "punt-safe" defense, I thought we would audible out of it.

Yet if he doesn't overthrow him it works. Tell me again how it was dumb

Bc your asking your punter to throw the ball. That’s why it was overthrown. Everything has to go perfect and you’re already behind the 8 ball with a punt safe defense.

We don't know. I suspect it was Foster's fault. He stopped his route, and that's a no-no. The punter threw it where he should have been. Unless they were coached that way. It's possible that the play called for him to stop in the open pocket. There is no way to know unless the coaches or players say.

Dumb call considering they had a punt safe defense

To be fair that is how auburn lines up for regular punts a lot of the time. It isn’t a classic “punt safe” formation. Where you have guys playing zone.

They just form 2 lines.

Moreau did have a bad game run blocking, but that failed fake punt wasn’t on him. ZVR just overthrew him.

We were there in person. Little bit of both.

#22 or #27 could have adjusted and caught that. But yes ZVR is plenty tall enough that the jump was not necessary. If he makes that toss from the ground it's a 10 yard gain.

Loved the call.

Of course he slowed up. That's not even in question. The only question is: Was he supposed to slow up?

I wasn’t crazy about that one because it seemed they were ready, but I believe it was the punt before that one that IMO would gave got em for a huge gain. With that said I like that O has confidence in his team to try these type plays and wish we had a QB as holder.
