I just watched LSU highlights in 2007.

Chad fricking jones, Marlon Favorite, Glenn dorsey, kirsten Pittman, Tyson Jackson, Ali highsmith, Steltz and Jackson, like bruh shite was so hype are you joking. Can we get back to those days? Crowd were so fricking loud for the boys. Lafell- flynn- Hester you can't match what we had back then!

I remember that defense getting dog walked by Darren McFadden and "We Got That Wood" razorbacks.

The Bo Pelinin effect. Saban would have made that defense a 2006 and 2007 champion. And we might have been undefeated with Saban. They willed themselves to a championship.

Don’t forget Sam Montgomery and the Honey Badger. We had some grown arse men on defense. OBJ and Jarvis Landry too.

We ran a 4-4 defense against them and still couldn’t stop the run. They had McFadden, Felix Jones, and Peyton Hillis. I don’t know how that Arky team lost so many games

'07 received a lot of late season luck to get into the National Title game. The injury bug really fatigued the defense late in the season but when they were able to get healthy they showed how swarming they could be again in the Championship game against OSU. Defense held them to 17, the BS touchdown given up by backups doesn't count.
The '06 defense was better and really pissed we let the Auburn game fall through their hands. (while also receiving multiple bad calls from the refs).
'03-'07 was peak LSU football.
