And now it’s a huge stink and everyone is calling for something to be done about the officiating. How about make them actually play a schedule that your biggest game isn’t fricking BYU before you look at the officiating.

What was their officiating complaint? I only caught the last 2 minutes of the game

They should have had one more play. There was 1 second left on the clock when the incomplete pass on the final play hit the ground. Also a somewhat dubious non-call for PI on that same play

That being said it couldn’t have happened to a better team and their fans. I was pulling for BYU just out of hate of ND.

I was told that there was absolutely nothing unfair or biased about the officiating against Kentucky last week, per SFP. And he is the smartest person on the internet. Likely smarter than even AI.

Well, it gives us another way to play the victim: vicariously. Gotta love that.

Clear pass interference not called on BYU. AND...one second remaining for ND to run another play. The officials blew the game in a major way.

Frick ND. Glad to see them get screwed in what will likely be their only real game this year.

what about them being given 2 extra plays when the clock never started with 40 seconds left on Notre Dame's last drive giving them 2 extra plays.

Yeah Notre Dame got screwed right.

What about BYU getting screwed by allowwing Notre Dame extra time they wouldnt have had.

Dont let facts get in your way.

All they're doing is giving permission to the committee to put ND in the playoff when they lose to Miami. That's what this is about.

Last play interference was not any worse than many calls ND could have had for same thing during game.

And see my post below because at 40 seconds left the play clock never started in Notre Dame favor and they wouldn't have had time for last 2 plays.

I guess the refs should have caught that "error" as well.

LSU "screw" job was typical of any team's away game. ND call was untypical and shouldve been called.

Wrong. They shouldn’t have even had the final play. The clock didn’t run at all on one of their plays at 40 seconds left coming out of a BYU timeout.

Funny, how you ignore that.

Yep, it all evened out if you ask me. And if it, didn’t? Oh well F-U-C-K Notre Dame!

Pete Sampson has covered Notre Dame of 25 years. He ain’t blaming the refs.

He called it a “top to bottom failure.”

Ya, but when they beat SMU late November, they'll have their marque win over a team that is ranked in the top 25.

If you look at it the ND receiver is actually holding the wrist of the BYU corner and tries to pull him to get leverage and open space, then pushes him off at the end.

Given they were both being handsy I think it’s a good no call. If the ND receiver wasn’t hands on at the time of the throw I would agree it should likely be pass interference.
