He did throw his best 2 pitchers against us, again.

He wanted to make sure they got work in, and said so after the game.

I have no problem with Jay experimenting a little with the lineup and situations in the SEC tournament and not selling the farm to try to win it.

Kim Mulkey doesn't bust her arse to win the conference tournament either.

They are looking at the bigger prize down the road.

I do have faith, for now, that CJJ knows that it is time to quit jacking around and get down to business.

I am afraid I have an idea how this is going to turn out but GEAUX TIGERS!

Could have thrown one of them the day before or today.

They would have gotten work in.

Is nobody gonna admit that Skenes didn’t really get pulled early? Dude got ran in the fourth.

no

if they're going to let any pitcher work through the trouble he was in... it was Skenes

he would've still hit 100+ if he wasn't on a pitch count due to prepping for the NCAA Tournament

This is what I thought also. He didn’t even have his jersey on. When he was hurt earlier this year he always had his jersey on. Something was going on.

I thought it during the game but Jay’s post game demeanor when he was asked about it solidified it to me.

Skenes definitely got ran. Was approaching 50 pitches in the 4th.

I'm sorry, but this tournament wasn't important for LSU. They locked up what they needed to lock up. They needed to protect themselves. The games coming up are far more important.

Skenes wouldve easily gone another inning at least if the game meant something

He’s don’t that before.

He throws a lot of pitches every inning.

respectfully disagree

Skenes would've been allowed to work out of that jam if the game had true meaning to LSU's postseason hopes instead of handing the ball to a struggling bullpen

Love the shite talking people are doing over meaningless games

Skenes would have been allowed to throw 110-115 pitches under normal circumstances

Even on an off day he gave us a good chance and Arkansas capitalized on a fortunate break which everyone knows

I’m sure they would love to face Skenes again right lmao

Yes. How many times do you think he gave up 5R in an inning and threw 45 pitches?

You’re assuming Skenes gives up 3 more runs. I doubt he would have.

Arkansas was VERY fortunate and I’m sure they know it.

Don’t kid yourself. Nobody wants to face Skenes
