It could be a double switch, but I don't think you have to in order to move HT as proposed.
Players already in the game can freely change positions. For example, with all of the radical shifts last night I couldn't tell what position some of our guys were in at times.
These days, when teams double switch they are usually making a double substitution and trying to move a bat up in the order.
Prior to the global DH rules, they were usually bringing in a defensive substitute and moving an incoming pitcher down in the order.

If a DH moves to a defensive position, the DH is lost for the rest of the game and the pitcher must bat in the spot of the player that was replaced on the field by the DH.

Can a DH sub for a catcher if needed?
Depends what you mean by that. Can you DH in place of the catcher? No. Only the pitcher. Can he enter the field as a catcher mid game? Yes, but then the DH spot is burned and the pitcher has to hit.

Yes they can, but as soon as he moves to the field, the DH is burned and someone else will have to pitch in the DH slot spot for the rest of the game while he’s hitting.
Had it happen in my game this weekend. But when he subs in for Milazzo, Trav ends up catching and someone will have to pick up slack since Neal is Mia and you have already burned Milazzo. Then pitchers ughhhh.
I like Trav back there right now. We need runs as you can see from this weekend, if we want to win. Having Travinski come around for this team has been so clutch. Those are big league bombs.

Since Jobert is apparently a third baseman, can he also play 2nd so we can DH Dugas and stop getting him injured?
Also, doesn’t matter how but Travinski needs to start everyday somewhere.

Ah, yes. So then we’ll sacrifice the clutch hitting/RBIs/power to keep up with the sub-par pitching. Brilliant strategy.
If you move Morgan to first you still have Dugas, Morgan, Crews, White, Thompson, Jobert, Travinski and Beloso. I don’t see how having those guys in the line up is sacrificing clutch hitting.

I think Travinski getting more comfortable at 1B is best case for when he isn't catching. That is the reason you saw him there last night. If an injury happens to Milazzo he can go from 1B to C and all is good. If Travinski is at DH and Milazzo gets hurt you burn the DH for the rest of the game. Think Jay is just looking at all options at this point. Beloso at 1B is not the answer unless Travinski starts at C and Milazzo is not starting.
I personally like Milazzo C and Travinski at 1B if he shows he gets a little more comfortable there. Would have been nice to try that out a little more earlier in the season.

So literally yes but practically no?

Morgan needs to go back to 1B.
He has saved way more runs from his defense in the outfield the last 2 weeks. He is more valuable in LF at the moment.

It would have been nice now in retrospect, but that’s only the case due to a large number of circumstances that were unlikely to all happen at the same time. The most obvious of those was Travinski hitting so well. He had something like 4 AB headed into conference there were so many people ahead of him in the pecking order. One by one those other options fell by the wayside. Neal was lost for the season, which is the only thing preventing Travinski from being used as a DH. Jones and Beloso had great starts to the season and have now significantly regressed. Kling and Pearson have never turned things around as expected/hoped. I don’t think anyone could have anticipated so little production from those 4 players at this point in the season making Travinski a must have in the lineup. Finally, it took Milazzo contributing enough offensively that he’s currently a better lineup choice than those 4 players, else you just insert Travinski at catcher.

So who are your three OFers? Crews, Jobert, and??????

This is exactly where i was going with this. So you move Morgan to 1B and then you either go with a non-100% Kling or a sub .220 dude like Pearson & Stevenson to fill the void in the OF that you’ve created.
Morgan has saved us numerous runs in the OF. And going with your logic of having a solid INF, you should be more concerned with the fielding of our starting 3B ;)

I’d go back with Morgan at 1B
He is too valuable there

I'm positive it is permissible.
um - er - ah - - - - - -
but when I tried to put it into words I am not so sure if that would maintain a "DH" spot or not.
so I will give my unassailable position on this important matter:

Agree but his inability to see or even hit a breaking pitch is hindering his growth. Teams now know to throw if all breaking pitches.

Or Travinski on 1st & Beloso DH

Dugas getting the hell out of 2nd base is the first place you start
