Just like how in 2008 and 2009 was past results indicating future success right? Who would have thought 2010, the very next season that we would have such a good season?

How about the year after that? Almost everyone was saying Miles screwed the pooch in 2010 and that was his chance to win it. 2011 was going to be a rebuilding year and with that schedule, everyone knew we were in for some trouble. Our SEC foes were laughing and lots of people were predicting Oregon to whip up on LSU, especially the media/pundits. No one knew who half that team was except for a few guys. PP had just left and we were going to get burnt in coverage LOL.

Or how about 2012 with all that talent coming back and Mett being here 2 years? Everyone knew we were going to win the ship! NOPE!

Point is, you can't count out the fight of a talented team and if you have a good QB anything can happen. No one is in denial except you pal.

Yeah, but O is our head coach. That is what accounts for the doubt.

But the Catastrophe Syndrome is alive and well.
Have you sold your tickets yet? Can't imagine you'd want to watch the worst team in sports.
Maybe you & all the Chicken Littles can have a stadium section to yourselves to commiserate in misery together!

I don't agree with the media's prediction. I think we probably finish 3rd in the West; however, their prediction is based entirely on the media's perception of O as a HC, and the perception is that's he's a fricking joke. It's up to him to change that perception.

Moreso, I don't know what we've heard that gives people hope that this man that's leading our program won't continue to show the poor judgement that he's shown every single season he's coached his own program.

Every year he wins the offseason and swears things are different, only to continue to make mistakes.

Ed Orgeron is a National Champion of the off-season.

LSU fans are fast becoming the National Chumpions of the regular season

There is zero doubt in my mind that LSU will have one of the best defenses in the conference, top 3.

The question marks are all over the offense, and that will define the season as those questions are answered.

Either these players will step up or they won’t, and that will be the difference between title contention and battling for a bowl bid.

What we have are a lot of unproven assets that look great on paper, with zero confidence in the people pulling the levers to make that blueprint a reality.

MILES WAS A PROVEN WINNER AGAINST MUCH STRONGER TEAMS. I WANTED HIS arse RUN.
44-1 against OOC foes. That speaks for his coaching and whipping the people he is supposed to. LSU WASNT REBUILDING LAST SEASON AND LOST TO A TEAM THAT LOST TO UAB!!!

WTF CRACK ARE YOU ON TO THINK THIS IS A GOOD THING WE HAVE RIGHT NOW?

I believe that the media looks down on LSU because of Coach O it’s nothing to to do with the players

I agree... We would be picked to finish 2nd in the West with this same exact roster if Jimbo (or any other proven HC) was our HC. Until Coach O earns respect, LSU will always be mediocre in the eyes of the media.

The D will be nasty. If the offense is in the middle of the SEC we will be tough to beat. Let the season begin. My prediction is 9-3, 8-4 or 10-2 would not shock me always have a couple of games that come down to a play, call, turnover.

Hopefully, we are on the right side this year.

We were #4 preseason in 2011

The only people that thought that were idiots on the rant that hated Miles.

Jesus some of you have seriously bad memories

It's stupid to think "LSU is an easy win this season".
Your point number four sounds more like your opinion than that of unbiased opinion of others.
I've lived in Florida for the past 25 years and listened to all the local Jax pundits dismiss LSU from time to time. They laughed at Miles and his goofiness and questioned whether it was just talent. They laughed when LSU hired Saban. Prior to the 2002 UF game they stated flatly LSU shouldn't get on the plane to face an 'angry Gator team" coming off a loss to Ole Miss. The result? The 36-7 romp in the Swamp by the Tigers.
Don't be a whiney little bitch. Let the season play out.

I'm trying to follow your logic here. Correct me if I'm wrong but you're basically saying that LSU will lose a lot of games this year because of someone's opinion?

We need to come to terms with the fact that LSU is no longer respected. I mean, we hired Ed Orgeron as our head coach with a huge buyout.

LSU will not be respected unless Coach O wins something of significance.
