Can we beat clemson
Might be the best team we play in the regular season. Seems like a toss-up game, but LSU is gonna need better coaching/decision-making than BK's previous first games.

My only problem with NUSS is that he does not run the ball or even attempt to run the ball. DEFENSES know this. NUSS must at least attempt to run the ball to keep the defense honest. I don';t care if NUSS runs it for 1 yard, he must at least attempt to run..
What separates JB9 and JD5 from NUSS?
Those guys ran the ball. Nuss doesn't have to run as well as those two, but must be at least a threat to run it. Otherwise, we are fricked.

Our weakest spot on Defense will be the other weak side DE either Pyburn or Reliford
Good problem to have because I believe either can do well. Really excited for the D-Line… think they can turn the tide of that opening game and give the offense time to get settled.

I wont get excited until they beat clemson
Im putting that down as a loss as of now and if clemson opens as an underdog will be trying to buy an LSU win for sure

Frankly this is my approach to every season in every sport. I’m too old to get bent out of shape over the performance of a bunch of 18-22 year olds.

sick of losing to Bama, need to beat their arse!

Would be huge, Defenses always seems better early in seasons. Clemson has 2 All-Americans on the DL and I hope our inexperienced OL is up for a huge test.

I'm just going to nitpick a few things:
This is an insane prediction considering there isn't a single team in all of college football that averaged 2.5 turnovers a game last year.
Kinda wild.
Since you've done the research, could you list the top 5 fastest receiver groups in the country?

Just like that BK in just 3 DBs, picks up 12 INTs and 5 Force Fumbles. That's 1.5 turnovers a game JUST IN 3 PLAYERS. Not even counting Pickett. I have a feeling this team will average 2.5 turnovers or more a game on Defense, which is HUGE.

I sure hope you're right, but that would have easily led the nation last year (James Madison at 2.23 per game).

Slow your roll, home, that's 2011 numbers.

Until these portal guys do something in the SEC, it means nothing. I hope they're the greatest ever, but people tend to get excited about portal guys and their stats from other teams/conferences/schemes/etc.
Let's see what happens.

I never saw Nuss get sacked from the nose guard position coming through Chester.
I was getting really hyped about your post until I read this and said god dammit this guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about

I do think it's the best overall talent we've had since then, and I don't even think it's debatable.
Now how that meshes and can they minimize the petty jealousies from those not getting the playing time they want an all that.....that will be key.

9-3 regular season then win a shitty bowl game and claim 10 wins. The same 10 wins Miles averaged and got him fired.
If that is the result how long until a change can be made?

Glad you’re seeing it and optimistic. I’m not.
I like Nussmeier, but I don’t think he’s as effective or this “gunslinger” as some of you suggest. Pluck out the Nicholls State game (6 TDs), and he’s 23/13 TD:INT ratio. Thats essentially 2:1 every game. Thats very pedestrian for a QB that can’t run.
Also, Kelly’s a bore. We won’t win anything of note with that guy. Prove me wrong.
