Than when we started the season, growing pains happen. What they have done with our undermanned lines is nothing short of remarkable. Maybe he can turn it around. He embodies Louisiana, it would be nice if Cajun rainman could actually do the job... I'm starting to believe he can

I will feel a bit better about O only if our team is ready to play in each of these last three regular season games.

A lot of teams
This year struggled early and folded. I think he has done a heck of a job with the turn around. He needs to finish strong and win the bowl. 10'wins goin into next season would be great in feb. He will be able to have something tangible to point to when selling recruits that Lsu is still the number one contender to unseat Bama in the west.

The team started playing better after Alleva told O to stay the frick out of the way and let the coordinators coach.

This is exactly how it has happened. Down vote all you want but it does not change the facts. We are on a upswing since O was told by JA to but out.

I have more confidence in Canada and Aranda

I have respect for O for stepping aside to let the coordinators do their job

I have little respect for JA

I still am unclear about exactly what our HC is contributing beyond recruiting.

We will probably wind up third or fourth in the West. This is the problem with you O sycophants who run on emotion. Numbers mean things. Stats mean things.

Yeah... well... the last time we finished higher than 3rd in the SEC-W was 2012 so put a sock in it.

Damn right they mean things. Your idea that anyone who is ok with that means they are a sycophant but yet many were ok with it for 4 years, going on 5.

Oh, and by the way, by some miracle there's a good chance we finish 2nd in the W on the backs of a weak SEC and tie breaker with AU this year... again, a "feat" not accomplished in 5 years.

It could be worse. We could finish 5th in the SEC-W, like in 2014. A "feat" not accomplished since 1999. That's right, 2014 was our worst SEC finish in this millennium. Don't act like a 3rd place finish is such a huge step back. It's static, it is our norm since the failure in the championship game for the 2011 season.

So what’s your point? I wanted Miles gone.

Your entire post just supports my previous statement. Get rid of our winningest coach for someone who will just do the same or probably worse overall, just because he makes you feel good. Again, emotionally laden reactions. Like a woman.

My point... as I said above, is that 3rd place finishes are the norm now.

Not a huge step backwards that you want to blame on sycophantic fans.

It's two-fold, so I will delineate for you:

Point 1: 3rd place in SEC-W is the norm for us
Point 2: It ain't the fault of fans, the one's you call "O sycophants"

on Point 1: der
on Point 2: frick you

Classic opportunity for underperformance

Recruiting needs to improve before I feel fully confident in O. Also how he replaces the eventual departure of one of his coordinators. Aranda is really good but Canada is the one that worries me the most in terms of replacing because his system is so unique.

6-2 in the SEC would be solid, though admittedly the SEC in 2017 is not all that great. Let’s get there first though.

Are you embarrassed by your lack of intellect?

My point was that hiring O could hardly be expected to bring long term positive change. Therefore, it was an irrational move. Yet you O sycophants who act on emotion think it was a good move because of how he makes you feel. You’re just proving my point.

I want Aranda long term my fantasy is he is secretly being groomed to be the guy, but doubt it

Why do people keep saying shite like this?

No...he embodies ONE TYPE of person from LA. and not even a large portion. Hell...I'm from the River Parishes area myself, born of parents that were both Yats and have lived essentially my entire life south of I-10 in Louisiana. In fact, I've spent more actual years living in LA than he has.

And guess what...we would not be confused for each other, and it's not because I'm not Louisiana enough.

Lol, we didn't start to play better until Alleva set down O and the coordinators. Honestly O hasn't shown his worth. Recruiting should be way higher than what it is right now. The thing he is most known for, looks average right now. There is no guarantee that we finish strong there.

Stop praising this man for the half arse job he's done so far.

My feeling is that over time O's limitations will manifest themselves and eventually catch up to us.
I have felt this way from jump and I still unfortunately, think that is what will take place eventually.

I certainly hope I'm wrong about that.

But for now he has taken what really looked like a Titanic and righted the ship nicely, we've improved on several areas as the year has gone. Credit is deserved for that.
