I definitely agree. After Troy I was pretty apathetic and was settling in for a very long 5 years or more. O has done a great job with this team, but the next several months are pretty critical.

1. Win out.
2. Win bowl game.
3. Finish strong with recruiting (land Marshall, Surtain, Joiner, etc).
4. Do anything and everything to keep Aranda, Canada, and Raymond on staff.
5. Field an honest to God passing threat next year.
6. Capitalize on the incredible 2019 Louisiana talent pool and finish in the top 3.

If he can do most of those things I don't think there is any reason to continue to doubt him. At least until he has to replace coordinators. Then we'll see.

This is exactly how it has happened. Down vote all you want but it does not change the facts. We are on a upswing since O was told by JA to but out.

Who really knows if that is what happened. But there is no doubt the team has steadily improved since that meeting.

No the big issue is, if that is what happened behind closed doors then this program is on a house of cards waiting to collapse.

No organization can remain viable when its top leader is nothing more than a figure head. Sooner or later O will get tired of having little to no say and then shite will hit the fan.

if that is what happened behind closed doors.

If actually true, not doubting it just that I don't know personally, then it speaks volumes about Alleva's hire.

We will probably wind up third or fourth in the West.

LSU wins out...which we will be favored to do...they are second, period.

Why? Did he grunt something grammatically incorrect, but somewhat intelligible this week?

What he has done with the patchwork line having to start 2 true freshmen most of the season and have 3 true freshmen start at times this season is phenomenal. LSU's 2019 recruiting class - includes the two 5-star OL recruits that Grimes is their lead recruiter and will be their position coach.
Anybody that puts "Jeff Grimes" and "Phenomenal" in the same sentence needs to be in a mental institution!

We can't beat Bama or win the West mainly because of the Sun Belt/SWAC level OL's that JG has recruited and put on the field the last 4 years. They can't play his scheme or pass block with any consistency and haven't since he's been here.

MA'ing Pump Lumps love him though because of the traditional Worship-Idolize thing they got going with all LSU coaches and athletes.

Doesn't matter, he'll most likely be out the door as soon as the bowl game is over. Time to raise the standards and do what is necessary to win the SEC West...........

turn-around

It's amusing that a LSU football team can be 6-3, 4th in the west, have 2 terrible L's on that 6-3 record, have our biggest rival lead wire to wire starting in the 1st quarter and win by 14, be not ranked in the top 20, but have fans championing the fact that we are playing better than when we were playing like crap.

I see a whole new approach 1st yr. head coaches will take. Play like crap to start the season and any improvement can be labeled as a "turn-around".

Turn-over or not, to this point, this has been a overall disappointing yr. for LSU football. imo
